Do You Know How Much You Are Loved
Ex 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw [it], they removed, and stood afar off.
Ex 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
In the passage in Exodus, we see the great fear the people had of God. This was good and proper that they should see God in this way.
Our God is and awesome God. We must learn fear Him, that is, to respect Him and realize just who He is. God is the Almighty – the creator and ruler of all the universe.
God s all powerful. He is the most powerful being in all existence and He is not to be reckoned with lightly.
But at the same time, we must remember that God is the all-loving Father that Jesus revealed to us. God is love.
I’m not sure we really understand love in this day we live in. True love – God’s love – is unconditional. He loves no matter what.
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
His grace is truly amazing. And his love is beyond anything we can comprehend. We really don’t understand how much God loves us, because we don’t understand love to that degree.
God loves to the uttermost.
Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (AV)
No matter who you are, or where you are, God is able to reach and to save. His love does not see race, or age, or situation. His love goes beyond all barriers. He literally loves everyone.
God loves you even when you don’t love Him.
Eph 2:1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; (AV)
Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (AV)
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (AV)
We were dead. Spiritually, we were dead. We were separated from God – his enemies even. Yet, He loved us.
He loves us and accepts us – though He may not always approve of what we’re doing – He still loves us.
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (AV)
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (AV)
God hates sin, but God loves sinners. In fact, He loves us with a love beyond our comprehension. He calls it an everlasting love.
Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (AV)
His love never ends – never wears thin – never falters.
1Co 13:8 Love never fails…
He loves us enough to call us His children.
1 Jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (AV)
Adopted children have a unique distinction. They are chosen. When you give birth, you just get what you get. But when you adopt, you pick a child out.
God has adopted – chosen – us.
Eph 1:5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- (NIV)
How much does God love us? This much -
1Jo 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. (AV)
Always remember that Christianity is not a creed, or even a religion. It is a relationship. It is wrapped up in Jesus, God’s Son. The Father sent the Son to die for us, because that’s how much He loved us. He sacrificed His very best for us.
The Bible says that, "God so loved the world that He sent His Son…"
Real love always shows through action. God’s love is more than talk. God took action toward the object of His love. He loved and He gave. He gave His all.
1Jo 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. (AV)
1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins. (AV)
There is more love here than you can hold.

When God was about to create man, says a Jewish legend, He took into His counsel the angels who stood about His throne.
"Create him not," said the angel of Justice, "for if you do he will commit all kinds of wickedness against his fellow men; he will be hard and cruel and dishonest and unrighteous."
"Create him not", said the angel of Truth, "for he will be false and deceitful to his fellowman, and even to you."
"Create him not," said the angel of Holiness, "for he will follow that which is impure in your sight, and dishonor you to your face."
Then stepped the angel of Mercy and said, Create him, Heavenly Father, for when he sins and turns from the path of right and truth and holiness I will take him tenderly by the hand, and speak loving words to him, and then lead him back to you."
