Tom enjoy his best season since joining Drayton midway through the 1997/98 season. He scored his first goal for the club and was always looking as though he would score more. Tom had been left on the bench for most of the last two seasons and when given his chance to impress against Ferrari Royals, he did so. This forced the management to look at Tom in a new way. He had become a much stronger, much more skillful and a much fitter athlete who couldn't be ignored for a place in the starting line-up. However he has made a relatively poor start to the season and looks like slipping back down the order.
