As I was between the posts, I can't really comment much on what happened up the other end. So all I'm going to say is that the team defended very well in the first half, it was only 2-0 and I didn't have much to deal with. However, in the second half, maybe the shape of the team changed, or maybe the team tired, but all I know is that I had to deal with about 10 one-on-ones. I am not a proper goalkeeper, and asking me to deal with that many when many professional goalkeepers let in the majority of one-on-ones was asking too much of me. I'm not making excuses- I'm just not very good at dealing with one-on-ones, and when they were playing down the slope in the second half they were just playing the ball down the middle and their strikers had the pace to leave our centre-backs for dead and be through on goal. I think we missed Tim's bite in midfield after half-time, when he was forced to play out wide due to injury. Ed got stuck in a lot more today and his peformance was much improved over last time out, Joe was highly commited to the cause up front and showed moments of excellence. Nick Perry worked very hard and Colin and Chris Walker won a huge amount of sliding challenges (which always impress me!) The only weak link was Josh. (only joking. I'm just trying to win my place back for next week)
