Well in a thoroughly interseting game only one team was ever going to win. Drayton started well but right from the start there was a lack of competative edge from certain members of the team. Guy Cockcroft gave us a good start only to see his effort wasted by a quick response from the opposition coming from a deflection off Geoff Spruell, leaving the 'keeper with no chance. A penalty marginally missed by the keeper left rangers in a strong position at half-time. The second half saw more of the smae mistakes as in the 1st half, with with the only tackles coming from Colin Betteridge and Geoff Spruell, Ed Humphries' performance left much to be desired. In an equally challenged match the score was really disappointing, a dismal 6-2. But we did play right to the end with our camp tackles, a quite poor performance, not what we want before xmas.

We started fantastically with the slight ability of Tim combining with the immense talent of Guy to head the ball in quite delightful fashion into the back of the net! We then lost concentration... all except Guy that is who maintained the structure throughout...and the oppostion scored not once...not twice but thrice..oh yes THRICE! The score going into half-time was 3-1! Can u believe it! Everyone was playing terribly except Guy!!! After half-time it was more which was quite suprising as it was only Guy's panache keeping Drayton in the game! The opposition however managed to slip a few past the rather stationary goalkeeping of Paul and the game continued that way until Geoff (from a free-kick) managed to scuff the ball with extreme luck over their defence which Guy pounced on... controlled like the angel that he is... and slotted it without even so much as breaking a sweat into the back of the net. What would Drayton do without him! (ed.-win probably) After that Guy tried his hardest(ed.-bollocks) to get back into the game but just couldn't work his magic when it was more or less 15 against one of him. The final score was 6-2 which sounds bad but all credit to Guy who was man of the match and season and all round greatest guy in the world. (ed.-what a twat!)
