| "St. Peter's Mother" When Peter arrived in heaven and saw that his mother was still in purgatory, he was very distressed. "My Lord," he said, "please let me save my mother from purgatory!" His request was granted. Peter went and lifted up his mother from purgatory to take her to heaven, but there were many poor souls that clung to his mother's dress and hoped to come with her. However, she was selfish and shook the dress, so that they all fell back down. Consequently, Peter realized that his mother's heart was bad and let go of her. So she descended once more into purgatory, where she may still be if she has not changed for the better. -Brothers Grimm- |
| Ungrateful, imposing emptiness, stealing freedom, all for the sake of a tear. I forgive you your sins, as you forgive those who've sinned against you... Forget I will not, cannot, you've sewn yourself to my hip, and I daily drag your heavy heart. Let me go. Take yourself to the bottom of the tide and rest there - Let the waves bring you back. - but leave me on the shore, in the sun, where I may grow... Come back to meet me in my adulthood. Come back to see the healed hip/soul. Come back, and be Grateful for my fullness. |
