| Destination: Kay and Miguel�s House Time: 9:13pm Date: Christmas Eve Sitting at the kitchen table, watching the clock Miguel: It�s nine o�clock. Where is Qlinn? (He stands up and pulls a picture out of his wallet) (Kay�s cat rubs against his leg) Miguel: This all wouldn�t have happened if I hadn�t of kept that phone number in this wallet. Or maybe I shouldn�t have even written down his phone number. (Walking in to the kitchen with a bowl of pretzels) Kay: There you are! (She puts the bowl in his hands) Miguel: What do you want? Kay: Our guest are waiting, Miguel. Everyone is hungry. Miguel: Is Theresa or Luis here yet? Kay: No. Answer me this Miguel. Does Theresa or Luis know about this woman you are seeing behind my back? Miguel: Kay. (Strange Pause) Not now. We�ll talk about this later. Kay: Fine. Act like nothing has happened. I don�t want everyone worrying about us. Miguel: What ever you say, Kay. Kay: Come on. Little Sam is in the living room with the rest of them. Miguel: (Watching Kay leave) Maybe I should do my test on her first. Before Qlinn gets here. (He sets the bowl of pretzels down and leaves) Meanwhile in Castleton Theresa is in Ethan�s Bedroom as Ethan slowly turns the doorknob Theresa: Oh Know! What if that is Gwen? (She hides in the closet and shuts the door slowly) Ethan: (Yawning) I don�t care what Gwen says. I�m going to bed. (He doesn�t even take his clothes or shoes off, he just lies down under his cover) Theresa: Great! I wonder how she got the police to let her go. Maybe that isn�t Gwen. (She creaks the door open and looks out at Ethan) Theresa: No. It has to be Gwen. You can tell by her small breast. (She laughs and then sits down) Theresa: Oh well. I guess I have to wait until she falls asleep. (She looks at her watch) Theresa: I don�t even have to be at Miguel and Kay�s party until 10:00. (Yawning) Maybe �. I should�. Take a little nap. (She sets her watch to wake her up at 9:50) (She falls asleep) Meanwhile Downstairs (Gwen comes into her house) Gwen: I�m going to kill that bitch, Theresa. She set this whole thing up! (She starts to yell) Gwen: Alright! Everyone get the hell out of my house! (Everyone boos her) Gwen: Now! I said now! (Everyone starts to gather themselves up as the leave) Gwen: Good! Get your sorry asses out! (A lady carrying a baby with no diaper on it comes up to Gwen) Gwen: What the hell do you want? Lady: Um� I was kind of changing my baby in your kitchen. Well. I was cleaning his bottom and I wasn�t expecting him to go again. Gwen: Are you trying to tell me that your baby pissed all over my counters? Lady: No. On the table. Gwen: (She angrily slaps her) You stupid bitch! Lady: You are rotten! Rotten I tell yah! (She runs out of the house crying) Gwen: (She shuts the door) What�s wrong with me, Gwen? (She looks at the mess in the living room) Gwen: (Sighing) I�ll clean it up tomorrow. (She turns off the light.) (She hears someone coming) Gwen: Who�s there? (Mrs. Barkley walks slowly in the dark towards the door) Gwen: Oh no. It�s Mrs. Barkley. (Frightened) She�s come back to haunt me. (She trips on something) Mrs. Barkley: Ouch! Gwen: Wait a minute! Ghosts don�t trip. And they most certainly don�t say ouch! I think I was set up! Meanwhile Downstairs in Qlinn�s Room Noah: Hmm� I could have sworn she was down here. (He gets ready to leave) (Carrie rushes down) Carrie: Who the hell are you? Noah: I�m Noah Bennett. Carrie: What are you doing in my brother�s room? Noah: I don�t know. I came down to see if my friend was down here. Carrie: Oh. Well. Do you mind leaving, now? Noah: Okay. (Estranged, he leaves the room) Carrie: (Shutting the door) Good. Now, all I have to do is wake Qlinn up. But how do I do that? Qlinn: (Coughing) Where am I? Carrie: Oh no. (She hides behind a bookshelf) Qlinn: (He looks at the clock) Oh my god! It�s past 9:00! I must have fallen asleep! (He gets up and rushes to get some clothes out of his closet) Qlinn: What if Miguel is upset. What if he doesn�t think I still want to be with him? Carrie: (Smiling) Hmm� looks like Miguel and Qlinn doesn�t even need my help. (Qlinn comes out of his closet with his best clothes on.) Qlinn: Miguel got me this shirt for my birthday a couple months ago. I just know this will show him that I still love him. I just know it! (He runs out of the room with his shoes untied) Carrie: Miguel and Qlinn will make such a great couple. (Sighing) I better get upstairs before he realizes I�m down here. (She goes upstairs) Meanwhile in the Carrie�s car Sheridan: Luis. Do you think we should tell Carrie about our baby? Luis: No. Let�s just announce it at Miguel and Kay�s party. It will shock everyone. Sheridan: Yeah. You�re right. Everyone will be surprised! Meanwhile back in Qlinn�s house (Qlinn is sitting on the couch tying his shoes) Qlinn: I have to get to Miguel�s party. Carrie: Would you like a ride? Qlinn: Carrie. What are you doing here? (He remembers when Gwen told him to stay away from her) Carrie: I was at Miguel�s party. He said you were going to show up, so I decided to pick you up. Qlinn: Who invited you to Miguel�s party? Carrie: Luis and Sheridan. Well actually �. Never mind. Qlinn: Luis? What the heck kind of name is that? Carrie: (Angry) Don�t make fun of his name. Come on bro! Let�s go. Qlinn: No. I�ll just drive there myself. Carrie: No. Come on! I won�t tell Gwen. I swear. Isn�t it about time you stop letting that tramp be the boss of you? (Qlinn puts his head down in shame as Gwen walks in combing her hair) Gwen: (Her face darkens) Oh no! No! No! No! What are you doing here? Qlinn, didn�t I tell you to stay away from her? (Pause) Well? Carrie: Shut up, Gwen! Qlinn is his own man. He doesn�t have to listen to you! Let�s go Qlinn. We have a party to go to! Qlinn: Sorry Gwen. Gwen: No. Qlinn! Don�t! Don�t go with her! Qlinn: Gwen. I�m not going to let you interrupt my fun tonight. Come on Carrie. Let�s go. (They leave the house) Gwen: Oh no. He�s going to die! How could I let him go like that? Hank: Gwen? What are you talking about? Gwen: Hank? Hank: (Sarcastic) No�. Tom Cruise. Who do you think I am? Gwen: What do you want? Hank: Why is Qlinn going to die? Gwen: Nothing. It�s just something I saw along time ago. It wouldn�t make sense to you. Hank: Just tell me, Gwen. Gwen: Okay. But� don�t laugh. (They sit down) Hank: Tell me! Gwen: Okay! Okay! (Looking at the clock) Well� at exactly 12:06am tonight�. Qlinn is going to die. Hank: How do you know that? Gwen: It was 4 years ago� and you already know that I started the entire fire that caused the Crane Mansion and all of Harmony to burn to ashes, right? Hank: Yes. But what does that have to do with Qlinn dieing? Gwen: (Looking at the clock) Oh jeez� Meanwhile in Carrie�s Car (Carrie gets in the drivers seat when she looks over she sees Sheridan) Carrie: Sheridan� I thought Luis was sitting in the front? Luis: Sheridan, the kind friend she is, decided to switch with me so you wouldn�t get uncomfortable with him being next to you. Carrie: Oh (Fake laugh) Thanks� (She drives out of the driveway doing 80 mph) Luis: Carrie! Slow down! Carrie: Sorry� I�m not trying to kill Sheridan and make her fly through the wind shield or anything. Luis: Well, slow down. (Laughs) (He looks over at Qlinn as he puts his seat belt on) (Luis tries to get his attention, to say hello) (Qlinn struggles to put his seat belt on) (Luis clears his throat) Luis: Here� let me help you with that. (Luis puts his seat belt on the right way) Qlinn: Oh. Thanks. (Qlinn looks at Luis) Luis: No problem. (Sheridan and Carrie chit-chat) Luis: (Shaking his hand) Hi. I�m Luis. Qlinn: Umm�. (Lovey-dovey) I�m Qlinn. You have a wonderful name. Luis: Yeah. So do you. I guess we both have inconsistent names. (Laughing) Qlinn: (Lovey-Dovey laugh) Yeah� (Carrie looks back and sees Qlinn�s face, she smiles and turns her head back on the road, she notices something and looks back at Qlinn.) Carrie: Oh no� no� Sheridan: What? Carrie: Nothing Sheri. Carrie�s thought: I hope he�s not doing what I think he is doing! Qlinn: So� where do you live? Luis: On 343Arlington Avenue. Qlinn: You are kidding me! Luis: What? Qlinn: I grew up at 343 Arlington Avenue. Sheridan: (Turning around) Wow. That�s a coincidence. Luis: Carrie. You didn�t tell us that you use to live in our mansion. Qlinn: It�s not actually a mansion, it�s more like a house/mansion. Carrie: I didn�t want to freak you out or anything. Luis: No. We�re not. Sheridan: Luis is right, Carrie. We�re both glad you told us Qlinn. Thank you. Qlinn: (Looking at Luis) Anything. Meanwhile at Kay and Miguel�s Party (In Miguel and Kay�s bedroom) Kay: Miguel, why did you bring me up here? Miguel: I want to show you how much I love you. And that I�m not cheating on you with another woman. Kay: Really Miguel? (Happy) Are we going to make love again? Miguel: mmmmm� maybe. Kay: (Smiling) So what are we going to do? Miguel: Don�t worry about that Kay. Just let me do all of the work. (Miguel lifts Kay up and puts her on the bed) Kay: (Laughing) Miguel� I�ve never seen you like this. What�s going on? Miguel: I just want you to know that I love you. (Miguel takes his shirt off and turns on some music) Kay: This is our song! Miguel: Yeah it is�. Isn�t it? Kay: This is the song that was playing when we made love the night all of Harmony burned to ashes. And then I had little Sam. (She remembers the night the spent in the den 4 years ago) Miguel: We�ve went through some rough times though. Kay: Mhmm. But now� we have each other. And little Sam. Miguel: Yeah. Little Sam� (Miguel lies beside her kissing her on the shoulder) (He can�t get pictures of Qlinn out of his face) Miguel: No� I can�t do this! (Miguel gets up and runs into the bathroom) Kay: (She watches with a �What?� look on her face) Miguel! (She gets up and walks over to the bathroom door) Kay: (She says to herself) What�s going on? (Kay puts her ear up to the door to listen, she can hear Miguel crying) Miguel: What�s wrong with me? (Crying) I�m not supposed to be like this! I had a baby for god sake! Kay: What is he talking about? Miguel: I don�t want to hurt Kay. Kay: No� no. Dammit! (Kicking the wall) He lied to me again! He said he wasn�t seeing another woman. And then he tried to come up here and hide it from me! (She starts to cry) Kay: Kay! Stop it! Stop crying! It�s not your fault! (She can�t help the tears falling from her face, she slides to the floor) Miguel: (Crying) This has been haunting me for 10 years now! Why hasn�t it gone away? Kay: (Realizing something, she gets up) What does he mean by that? What has been haunting him for 10 years? Miguel: I can�t hurt Kay! She worked so hard for a good relationship with me�. How could I have led her on like this? I�m a bad person! Kay: Okay� what he is saying doesn�t sound like he�s talking about cheating on me with another girl at all. It sounds like he has bigger problems. Maybe he isn�t cheating on me with another girl�. But what could it be? Miguel: (Looking in the mirror, he sees redness around his eyes) Look at me! I�m crying like a baby. (He hears a car drive up) Miguel: That�s probably Qlinn now. Should I go through with this? Yes! I have to see who I want to be with�. (He comes out of the bathroom and looks at Kay) Kay: Miguel, what�s going on? Meanwhile at the Lighthouse in Old Harmony Tabitha is watching everything going on in New Harmony through a crystal ball Tabitha: Yippee! Yippee! Things are going great in New Harmony! Timmy: Why would you say that? Nothing good has happened since Kay and Miguel mad love this earlier. Tabitha: Well Timmy. Your good is my bad and your bad is my good. Besides, Kay and Miguel making love this earlier is going to come back and haunt Kay for the rest of her life. So it was good� ha ha ha. Timmy: What? But I don�t get it! Tabitha: Timothy� get out the scroll. Antonio: There�s no need for that. I have all the power in the world. After all, I am the evil one. (Antonio brings up a huge theater screen) Tabitha: Wow� this is better than what I could do. Timmy: What�s going on? Are we going to watch a movie? Antonio: mhmmm� sort of. (He snaps his fingers and the show begins) (The show starts out with Theresa�s face) Timmy: That�s Theresa! Why is she crying? Antonio: Just shut up and watch Timbo. TO BE CONTINUED |
