| When Ethan realized that Theresa knew the truth about his parentage he wanted to terminate their relationship for good. Theresa drowned through her tears and contemplated over and overwhat went wrong. As for Chad, he accepted that his whole life had been turned upside down from learning that he is Whitneys half brother. Chad heard some whimpering far to his right. He walked towards it and he knew who it was. Theresa? Whats wrong? The moment she looked up. Chad already knew instantly that Ethan had learned the truth. Im sorry, Theresa. I know things didnt turn out the way it should. Youre not the only one whos feeling burned out and abandoned. Chad sat beside her. What do you mean? Theresas eyes are filled with turbulence and despair. It turns out that I am related to Whitney and Simone. Aint that a bitch! He shook his head in disbelief. Chad, I didnt know. Im sorry to hear that. She gave him a hug and he felt reassured that everything will be okay. How are you holding up? She blinked at him when he interrogated her. Holding up? Not so well. Chad, what am I going to do without Ethan? He is the light of my life. He means everything to me and I didnt mean for any of this to happen. She sobbed once more. Theresa, theres no time for trying to blame yourself. Ethan just gotta tough it out and see where his life is heading . . . he sighed. Ill tell you where his life is headinghis life is heading without me in it. She cried again. Chad rocked her closely and made sure she is safe in his arms. Ethan . . . Ive lost him forever. Her eyes flooded with tears of emotional throes. Chad wish he could do or say something to make Theresa feel betterbut it is out of the question. Theresa had never fathom of Ethan to tell her Its over. Is it really over? Chad took Theresas glowing face into his warm and robust hands. She gazed at him outlandishly. Chad, what am I going to do? She couldnt help herselfshe couldnt help of asking the same thing over and overknowing that Ethan is not coming back. Theresa, I dont have all the answers. he responded patiently. I cant go back home . . . She buried her head in his virile chest. Theresa, why dont you come home with me? No one familiar is thereand you can stay for as long as you want . . . I dont have a problem with you being there. He honestly told her. Theresas face glistened with a subtle smile and she pulled him into her arms and assured him that she will be OK with having him by her side. Theresa? Yes, Chad? She held tentatively at his eyes. He glinted at her for a bit. Youre not reconsidering on my offer, are you? Theresa observed the horrified expression on his face. She had lain her hand on his broad shoulderand gave him a transitory beam. Chad, Im not mulling over on your offer . . . I was noticing of how helpful you areand how you are not leaving my side . . .you are a true friend, Chad. Any girl is lucky to have you. She whispered. Chad thought otherwise. I wished Whitney would say the same thing . . . He heaved out a sough. Theresa stood up and patiently waited on Chad to get up. He knew where her thoughts were and decided to join her. Theresa, I see that you are impatient, something going on? He instigated. Wrong? What made you say that? Theresa blinked at him softly. You just have this gleam in your eye . . . Chad speculated on her further. No, Chad . . . Im not up to anything. Im glad that you still see me as a good hearted person. Oh, for sure . . . my sister. You know what? Its about high time we go to my placeits getting creepy standing out here all night . . . He chuckled dryly. Yea, Chad? Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? Theresa asked curiously. Sometimes, why? Chad wasnt following her as they started walking to his place. She shrugged carelessly. No reason, Theresa is glad that she can count on Chad about anything. They entered his place and settled down. Chad rushed to his room to make sure that Theresa will sleep comfortably tonight. Chad, where will I be sleeping tonight? Theresa shouted while observing every room. Chad poked his head out of his bedroom and smiled. Youre sleeping in here . . . Theresas feet led her to his room and she looked a tad flustered. Something wrong? Chad lifted a brow. Yea, where will you be sleeping tonight? She queried with concern. Dont worry about me, Theresa. Ill be fine. Ill be sleeping on the couch. He briefly explained. But . . . Chad brushed his finger on her lips. Not another word. Just rest. You need itand dont worryIll be fine. He ensured her again. Goodnight, Theresa. He smiled at her and left. Goodnight to you too, Chad. Theresa responded two minutes after hed left. She examined his bed in peace: calm, cool, and collective. She buried herself deeply underneath the covers and snuggled against the fluffy pillow, resting her body into another world. |
