| :: Why Faramir and Eowyn :: Like I've said in the Aragorn/Arwen section, when I first saw the Lord of the Rings movies, I really wanted Aragorn to be with Eowyn. It seemed that they had much more in common and had incredible chemistry. However, when I read the books my mind changed. As soon as I read the sections involving Eowyn and Farimir I strongly felt that these two were meant to be together. I think that Eowyn honestly did have strong feelings for Aragorn, this I would never deny. However, I think a lot of it was admiration and a desire to be strong, good, and powerful as Aragorn was. Later, when Eowyn is staying at the Houses of Healing, we get some really powerful scenes between her and Farimir. He is able to understand her like nobody else has been able to, and he loves her the way that she deserves to be loved. The scenes between them are amazing, and ever since they have been one of my favorite literary couples of all time. |
