SPEED DEMONS
Yngwie (Invay) J.Malmsteen is a neo-classical guitarist who has been crowned one of the fastest guitarists ever. He inspired by Bach, Mozart and Paganini rather then conventional rock guitarists.

He favours sweep picking, arppegios and minor scales and keys for his sinister guitar sound.

The first song I heard Yngwie play was "Far beyond the sun" which sounds very reminsicent of his cultural european background.
Paul Gilbert is a neo-classical/blues guitarist who is truly bizzare. Growing up, he spent 3 years playing with only his middle finger and upstrokes on the guitar. He used to play guitar for the big bands like "Mr Big." and "Racer X".

He has weird styles of playing. His signature guitar make has FAKE violin holes on them and he can play the guitar with 3 guitar picks mounted on the end of a drill!!! Sounds almost as cool as polka.

The first song I heard Paul play was  "Scarified" when he was in Racer X. Such a gosh darn hard song to play still today.
Michael Angelo Batio is THE fastest guitarist ever!!!! He plays so fast, his guitar picks started melting in his hands!

He is also right AND left handed, allowing him to play this signature double-axe (Don't call it a double-neck!)

I have not heard any of Michael's music, but I did purchase his "Master Session" guitar lesson video. It really did boost my speed and technique and i recommened it to all players looking to increase there playing speed.
Herman Li is the lead guitarist from the "Extreme Power-Metal" band Dragonforce. Herman is known for his very technical and very fast playing.

He is not only inspired by the best Metal guitarists but he is also inspired by Video-game music!

The first Dragonforce song I heard was "Through the Fire and Flames" Herman's solo is too fast!!!
