| I remember the day that we first met In the chat room on the internet We talked, we laughed, and told each other our name How could I know then it was all just a game Days, weeks, and months went by He told me he loved me but that was a lie I couldn't wait, we just had to meet He was so loving, kind, and sweet So we made our plans to be together And he promised that he would love me forever So I trusted him and gave him my heart How could I know then he would tear it apart He went away without saying good-bye He hurt me bad, I wanted to die Now I realize He's gone, this I know So I will just have to let him go But I'm stronger now for the lesson I've learned Fall in love in the chat room, you're gonna get burned! by Teresa Kirkpatrick |
