Thunder & Lightning
The thunder booms and lightening flashes,
But don't mind me I'll be alright.
I'm excited by the storm and rain.
Just wanted someone to hold me tonight.
The dance of the rain on the roof,
Is soothing to the mind and ear.
Yet the only remedy for this lonely heart,
Would be to have you close right here.
I love the deep sound of your voice in my hair,
When you speak with my head on your chest.
I listen to the beat of your heart,
As together we watch the natural tempest.
So let the rain pelt down and cold wind blow,
The lightening flash silver and thunder ring clear.
I'm content feeling it's energy and power,
Lying in your arms and having you near.
