Inner Peace

When I feel myself get angry
And have to prove to others I'm right,
I think of my inner peace and calm
And cling to that real tight.

For if I pointed out the ways,
I'm right and you are wrong
     Would you listen anyway?
And my inner peace'd be gone.

I imagine how my face would look,
And the angry words I'd say,
The deffensive way you'd bitch right back,
So instead I'll just say "okay.."

My inner peace means more to me,
Then any mean things I'd hear,
And if by example you see my calm
I think you'll understand quite clear.

That I don't care how you rant and rave,
You'll never convince me that way.
And besides I know who I am inside,
So I'll just wish you a happy day.
