Okay, I know I skip time a bit, but
I'm coming up on 6 chapters to my
second part. And it probably isn't going to end there. I think. Anyways
just keep reading.

Notes:
This is the night Heero and Relena talked in Relena's room. Not much
happens. Heero stares at Sean with an intent to kill, ya know, stuff like
that. ^^

Chapter 11: Relena's Departure & Return
By Yuki-hime
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena stood in Heero's doorway and stared at the sleeping pilot.
'You'll never understand, will you Heero?' she thought
as he shifted his
position. Tossing the covers off and then turning again.
She walked over to him and pulled the covers up again. She had
learned to be stealthy and quiet to where even Heero Yuy
could not sense
her. And that was hard.
"Are you having a bad dream?" she whispered to herself. She stood
where she was and watched his chest rise and fall. He had no shirt on, just
a blue pair of jeans, she noted to herself.
Heero mumbled something and Relena stepped back, afraid of him
waking and finding her in his room. She had only wanted to say her goodbyes
and leave. Sean had promised that he would not hurt anyone and her if she
came with him. She stumbled over her answer for the last three days. And
finally had it. She couldn't guarantee her safety but she could
guarantee
the safety of the ones she loved.
When she realized that he was dreaming, she slowed approached him.
"I love you Heero Yuy," she whispered, bent
over and lightly kissed his
lips.
He stirred a little as she lifted herself up again and walked to the
door. As she was about to close it, she looked back. Getting a last glance
she firmly closed the door behind her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero turned around. "Relena!" he yelled. His voice
carring into the
distance and beyond. "Relena!"
"Heero," a whispered replied came, "help me!"
He turned at the sound of Relena's voice to see her disappearing.
"Wait! I'll protect you Relena. Don't run away from me! Relena!"
Heero woke in a sweat, breathing deeply. He sighed when he realized
the nightmare. One of two that had haunted his nights and
days. He looked
around and noticed a feeling that something was wrong. He jumped out of bed
and ran to Relena's room.
When he opened the door, he saw no sign of her, until he came to the
vanity. There was a note on the mirror. He glided over and plucked it
from it's position.
After a few seconds, the note was crumpled by Heero's hand and
thrown in the floor as he bolted from the room.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena stared out the window. 'Heero, I wonder what you are doing?'
she thought with sigh looking out the window.
A soft laugh came from her left. "What's wrong Relena?" the voice
questioned her.
"Nothing," she replied sharply. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see," he smiling replied.
It had been three months since she left Heero at the station and
went with Sean. They traveled alot, never staying in
the same place. She had
guessed he was afraid they would find out where he was. Most
of all Heero.
She shuddered at the thought of how pissed he would be when he finally
found her. IF he found her.
She looked at the window and realized where she was. "This isn't..."
she began.
His smile told her she was right.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero stared at the screen before him. 'Relena, where are you?'
he thought for the hundrenth time.
"Heero," Zechs voice came from the door
behind him.
"Yes." He expected him to say that he needed rest. That
three
straight days of no sleep or food was bad. But that wasn't what he got.
"There was a transmission from Relena on the outer rings of Pluto."
Heero stood and faced Zechs when he heard Relena's
name. "And?"
Half afraid that it would be another dead end or that he would wake up
screaming again from the nightmare that plagued his days and nights.
"She's stranded on the outer rings of Pluto and asked for
assisstance."
"Did she say anything else?" Heero questioned carefully.
"No," Zechs said clearly. And had Heero
wishing there was a yes.
He started toward the door before a hand caught his arm.
"You aren't going Heero," Zechs stated.
"You can't keep me," Heero's voice dripped with coldness.
"Relena requested it."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena stood staring at the transport's window at Earth. 'I can't
wait to get back to work,' she thought to herself. And wished
in the
process for a long hot bath. She glanced down at the blood stained and
torn
clothes she had worn for the past week. Her hair was oily and dirty like
the rest of her body and those days on the moon that she landed on were
horrible. Filled with nightmares and afraid of what might be outside of
the small cave she was in.
She was glad Heero hadn't come to pick her up. The last few months
were hard on her and she didn't want to see or hear how mad he was at her.
She sighed and brushed away the tear that slipped down her face.
"Miss," a man spoke behind her.
"Yes?" he said in return.
"The captain requests that you would take your seat. We'll be
descending in a few moments."
"Yes, of course."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero waited outside the port. He knew he was letting his anxiety
show but that didn't matter to him right then. He would have to wait until
later tonight to get the information from her but that wasn't his first
prioty. It was seeing Relena, alive and safe and
well. Heero never knew
ten minutes could seem like a lifetime.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena stepped down the stairs and sighed a relief
when her foot
touched the earth. 'Home at last,' she thought and smiled.
She didn't notice the figures approaching her until they were there.
She knew what her appearance must seem like to them. And inwardly felt very
guilty for what she had out them through, even though it saved their lives.
"Relena," Zechs spoke.
She seemed to realize that she was staring at the ground. But when
she heard her name spoken and looked up. Zechs was
standing in front of
her and smiling. She shut her eyes in an attempt to hold back the
threatening tears and ran into his arms. "Milliardo,"
she whispered, "I'm
sorry. Please forgive me."
"Oh Relena, it's not your fault," Zechs
whispered to her. "Never
your fault."
The following events went by in a haze for Relena. Everyone
greeting
her and welcoming her home. Not once saying anything about what had
happened. And for that Relena was grateful. She also seemed to notice that
Heero wasn't present. She was afraid of their frist
meeting but wanted to
see him, with her feelings in turmoil, Relena decided to shut them away for
the moment. Hoping that it would work itself out.
Relena stood at the front door of her home. Taking in all the
events
that had happened in the last months. The colony,
and now Sean. But there
was still that knawing feeling in her. She sighed and
smiled. 'I'm home,'
she thought and reached for the door knob.
Stepping inside, she could smell the house. Warm and
inviting.
"Relena," a voice came from beside her. She glanced and smiled.
"I'm fine. Really, Noin," she replied.
"And I'm home."
"I'm so happy you are back, Relena. We all are," Noin
said absently.
Relena looked at the older woman. One question on the tip of
her
tounge that wished release, but pride and strength
keeping her silent.
"I'm going to go upstairs to take off these clothes," Relena said.
"Of course," Noin said smiling, the sorrow
and regret fading away
from her eyes. "I'll tell them you'll be down later."
"Thank you," Relena said placing a hand on her arm and reasuring the
woman that she did not hold her responsible for the events.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena shut the door behind her. "What am I doing?" she chocked out
in a cry. She placed her hands over her face and let the tears run. No
longer was she able to keep them locked away.
"Coming home, I had hoped," a voice stated from the dark.
Relena's sobs had instantly been forgotten and now the worring
of
not showing her weakness to anyone set in again. "Get out," she
demanded.
"Why?" She knew who it was and was grateful that Heero had not
come to the rescue. The shame was something Relena couldn't bear.
Especially to the man that she loved.
"Because you have no right..." she began. The words
dead on her
tounge.
"What Relena? No right to love you. Or want to keep you safe. Or
maybe just to want to kill the man that tried to killed you," Heero's
voice
had harded with the last statement. He emerged out of
the darkness and
walked to her. "Those are all good reasons. But to hear that you do not
want
me, now that's something that I can't explain. Tell me what rights I have
and don't have. It'll make it easier for both of us."
Relena was aware of Heero walking slowly towards her and she had
nothing to defend her claim. And didn't want to defend her
claim. But the
shame and pride that had kept her prisoner rattled and again she was
reminded of the past. The fact that no one wanted a 'used woman' was what
kept her there. The lies that Sean had told her the first time had been
many. But somehow, Relena had managed to believe this one. She had been
used, why would Heero want her now? Plus the fact that he loved her never
even occured in her mind, so she pushed and burried the memories and pain
so that no one needed to see. So that she didn't need to be reminded.
"Heero, leave me. Please," she begged him. But he still walked to
her. Stopping far away to where Relena could feel his breath on her cheeks.
"I'm..."
Heero cut her off, not wanting to hear what she had to say. Hoping
that the kiss would tell her what he felt and couldn't express. She felt
unsure, and Heero eased her. "Please, Relena. Don't say it," he
whispered
after the contact was broken.
Her breaths were quick and with all the emotions whirling around her,
Relena could only shut her eyes, and try to keep the tears back.
Heero saw the glittering of the tears and brushed away the water.
"Relena, it's over. I'm here with you, you don't
have to be afraid."
Relena hung her head low. 'I can't cry,' she repeaded to herself.
But Heero's words provoked a response and she unwittingly looked up at him.
"How can you say that?" she whispered, pain and fear in her voice.
Heero
looked at her, the caring in his eyes. All Relena saw was pity. "Why say
that? To get my hopes up? Why would you want a 'used
woman'?" Relena
questioned. That last words were pain-filled and Heero
flinched at them.
"What are you talking about?" he gently asked. He pulled her from
the door and into his arms. The warmth was engrossing and he laid his head
against her neck. "Relena, I love you."
Relena was letting her emotions guide her. Something that she had
promised herself she would never do again. But Heero's unexpected voice of
promise had thrown her off. And she desparately
stumbled to keep her balance
and not fall again.
"Heero, I'm..." she was going to try to convince him that he didn't
love her. Something that she had wanted from the frist
moment they meet.
The pain was tearing her apart inside.
"Relena, listen to me. I love you. And if you say that 'used woman'
again, I'm going to have to show you that I don't care," he said. His
voice
was gentle but forceful at the samw time.
She stared at him, her eyes watery from his words and the barriers
slowly, but surely being torn down. The barriers that held her heart from
the one thing that would make her one. Her mind still reached for some
logic while her heart sang and understood everything. "But I don't under-
stand."
He smiled. "Maybe this will help," he whispered and lightly touched
her lips. Deeping the kiss and letting her set the
pace. Heero neither
pushed or pulled, but let Relena find out on her own. Love didn't decide
the person, events or place. It just found you, and hoped you could hang on.
When Relena pulled back, she saw the love in Heero's eyes. Promises
that he would make and some that he was sure to break. But they were
promises reguardless of the outcome. Promises that were for her and her only.
"I want to ask you something," he whispered.
Relena knew this would come. Better now then later. She hoped.
"Why did I go?" she questioned. That would be the question she was
sure he
would ask.
"Yes. And why not tell me he rapped you? Was the colony a part of
his plan?" Heero's voice sounded concerned. But the questions needed to be
asked and answered.
"I went to keep you all from harm. I wanted to make sure he would
not do anything to hurt you. And the others," she said slowly. Willing him
to comprehend her actions. She avoided the second question and hoped he
wouldn't notice, or have enough sense not to ask again. "As far as I know,
the colony was a part of his plan. But I'm not sure if he was the planner.
There was something that he said. I haven't been able to figure it out
yet."
"Which was?" Heero asked. He noticed she avoided answering why she
had ever told her about her being raped.
"He was on the phone and mentioned something about the colony plan
failing, but he didn't really care because...because he had gotten what he
wanted. I don't know who he was talking to, and I didn't ask."
Heero looked at her. Knew that she wished not to answer the
question but asked anyway. The need to know driving
him. "Why not tell me
about him rapping you in the first place? Why keep it a secret?"
She sighed and drew a deep breath. "Fear and shame I suppose."
He wasn't going to accept that. "Relena," he urged.
"What do you want me to say?" she whispered.
"The truth."
"I was afraid of that," she said. "I didn't want
sympathy, and I
didn't want to be reminded of anything. With you all knowing it would have
made it hard on me and hard on everyone. Including you, Heero.
I didn't
want to have to look at the digust in your eyes every
time you looked at me.
Or hear the whispering voices."
"You expected that from us?" he asked surprised.
"Yes. It was because I believed those things that Sean had said. I
was stupid, I know, but that doesn't change anything."
"Relena, it changes everything." He took her face in his hands to
make her look at him. "It changes everything Relena."
"I don't see how." She tried shaking her head from his grasp.
He kissed her. Hope that she would understand his feelings. Hope
that what he felt would surge through him and into her. He felt her react
and deepen the kiss. He wouldn't rest until she understood that he loved her
and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to tell you people that I'm was concerned when
I got the latest
reviews. I'll explain about Relena and tell you why she acts that way.
First off, Relena was kidnapped and then rapped. Understand? When a girl
is rapped, she completely shuts off all the feelings that she has and after
a period of time she learns to deal with the fact that she deserved it. I
have not personally experienced this, but I have had two of my best friends
rapped. They have told me that that is what happens. And I believe them. I
mean it happened to them! Relena comes out alright if that's what you are
worried about. When Relena was rapped, her innoncence
and purity was taken
away. That's something that can never ever be gotten back. She goes through
emtional and physical changes. Drastic
changes. Some of which only
strengths Heero's desire to keep her safe and from harm. In my opinion,
that's what he's always wanted. Her pureness and innocence was a factor.
So now that I've ranted and raved. (And finally got
this chapter out) I need
your opinions. I've got an idea to where I want this story to go, or
whether you think it would be better to end it. If you want it to end, I'll
probably not post the next chapters and instend have
them on my site. So let
me know, b/c I had planned to reveal the master villian.
