I just thought I'd explain why I
didn't write after Endless Waltz. Well,
it's just that I hate writing and not seeing what I'm talking about,
reguardless of what I've read. It's a thing I have.
Well, since I'm sure you're here to read my fic and not listen to me
ramble on and on and on...I'll give it to ya straight. I'm sorry to
disappoint you all but I don't own Gundam Wing.

Chapter 6

Relena stared out the window as they approached a rather impressive
spacecraft. "Is that yours?" she asked.
"Yes, it belonged to my father," Frank replied.
She turned to look at him. "May I ask a question?" she ventured.
"Of course," he stated smiling at her.
"If your father was a pacifist, then did your brother change his
name to Dermail and then name the foundation Romefeller? Why wasn't he
for peace instead of war?" she asked.
He sat back in his chair and looked at her for a moment, smiling.
"All our life, our father talked about peace and how pacifism was the key
to everything. Duke tired of hearing father's preachings and concluded on
his own that since pacifism wasn't stopping wars, then it must not work.
He thought that war and power was the key to peace. He didn't see that
people don't want to be controled and so after his 17 birthday, he left home
and we didn't know anything about him until te Romefeller foundation was
established."
"I can still remember his lectures," Frank mused as he stared
blankly in front of him.
Relena smiled. 'So that was the story. And I was helping with the
beginning of a new war,' she thought sadly. 'How could I have been so
blind?' she scolded herself.
"My dear, don't blame you. There are still followers of every leader
left after they die. This was a brillant plan and not even we had
knowledge until a few weeks ago."
"There is no excuse for me. I should have known because..." she
was cut short by the intercom on the shuttle.
"We'll be arriving at Beta Colony 5 in five minutes. Please sit
back and enjoy the ride. Remember to keep your seatbelts safely fastened,"
the captain's voice sounded.
She looked at him and smiled. 'I won't let this war start,' she
told herself as she looked out the window. Gathering her last view of
outer space.

Heero looked at his time. '15 minutes,' he thought as he directed
the Gundam. 'Relena, don't do anything foolish for 15 minutes.'

"Duo," Hilde's voice was on the intercom.
"Yeah," he replied. He had Quatre, Trowa and Wufei to his left and
right with the second Peacemillion behind him.
"We'll be there in less than 20 minutes," she replied.
"Thanks Hilde. I want you all to stay away from the colony once
we get there. We don't know what we'll be up against. And I don't want
to take a chance and have you shoot out of the sky," he said.
"We'll stay out of the way Duo. I promise," she said and her
voice cut off.
"We only stay out of the way until there's a battle," she whispered
to herself.
"What did Duo say?" Catherine asked. She stood behind her with the
others.
"He wants us to stay away from the colony once we get there," Hilde
said.
"That's what the other guys said too," Dorothy said. "I wonder
where
Sally Po is? Didn't Noin say she wouldn't be here?"
"She's on Earth. Noin needed her there and besides, she couldn't
get away," Catherine said.
"How did you know?" hilde questioned her.
She laughed a bit. "I asked her earlier about Sally," she said with
a smile.

"What will we do?" Noin asked the man beside her. "Relena has
given
up hope and..." she paused, afraid to say what she was thinking, "I
think
she may..."
"Don't say what you think, Noin. If Heero can reach her then she'll
be okay. Okay?" he said as he placed a hand on her shoulder. His blond
hair gleaming under the lights of the ship.
"Do...do you know if anything happened to Relena?" Noin asked
slowly. She was afraid of what he might say.
"No, but I've heard rumors. And none of them I wish to repeat," he
said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Mr. Romefeller, may I ask what you plan to do?" Relena said as they
stepped off the shuttle and onto the colony.
"Stop the war before it starts," he said quietly. "Relena, I
want
you to stay right beside me okay?"
"Yes, I understand," she said as she stepped closer to him.
He smiled. 'So this is what it would be like to have a daughter,'
he thought. "You know, I was friends with your father before he was
killed."
Relena looked at him. "I'm sorry, I mean you father Peacecraft," he
said.
She smiled. "What was he like?" she asked.
"Kind. He reminded me of my father. I watched you grow," he said in
a whisper.
She thought what it must have been like to grow up in a place like
that and then realized that, in a different way, she did grow up like that.
For her father, if not in fact then feeling, was her father and he did
pursue peace. And she did tag along, learning along the way what and how
things were done. He was perparing her all the time.
"I'm sorry Relena. I must have brought bad memories to the surface,"
he said.
"No, Mr. Romefeller. You have reminded me of who I am and what I
do. What I stand for," she said with a smile. 'I won't let this happen
again. I won't give up,' she thought as they made their way through the
corridoors.

Duo looked at his watch. 'Time passes slowly when your in a hurry,'
he thought. "Hey Hilde, how much longer?" he asked impatiently.
"Only a few more minutes. You should see the station by now," her
voice replied.
Just then the station appeared out of nowhere. 'Well at least it's
easy to find once your close,' he thought.
"Duo isn't that Heero's Gundam?" Quatre asked.
He looked to the right and saw Wing Zero parked out. "Yeah, well I
guess Heero did beat us here."

"Quick this way!" a guard yelled as he pointed to the hall to his
left. The other guards quickly followed his lead. and disappeared.
Heero stood and watched them run past him. 'Relena, where are you?'
he thought.
"Mr. Romefeller, where are we going?" Relena's voice carried through
the corridoor they were in.
"To the control room. From there we can shut down and finally get
what needs done and out of here," a man's voice replied.
'Who is he?' Heero thought.
The man ran past him and then Relena. He reached out and grabbed her
arm with his left hand and placed his right over her mouth so she wouldn't
scream. "Shh, Relena," he whispered.
"Heero?" she said as he pulled his hand away. "What the hell are
you doing here?" she demanded.
"I want you on a shuttle and out of here," he said as he pulled her
along with him in the opposite direction.
"No Heero," she said and jerked her arm away from him. "I'm
going
to help Mr. Romefeller." She was backing up and now stood by the man that
called himself Romefeller.
"Relena," he growled.
"Now listen young man, she said no," Frank said as he stepped in
his path to Relena.
"Come on. We have to finish what we started," Relena said and walked
away.
Frank followed and Heero stood watching them. 'What are you up to
Relena?' he thought as he followed them.
"Relena, why not leave? I can handle this by myself," Frank said.
"I want to help," she replied with a smile. She knew Heero was
following them and she couldn't do anything about. She was, in fact,
comforted by his presence. 'Heero, I wish it could have been different.'

"What do you mean 'we can't board'?" Dou asked.
"There are terrorists on the station. It's for your own safety,"
the man said.
"Well I can take care of myself!" Dou shouted. "And for another
thing..." he started but stopped when an explosion from the station caught
his attention. The ilnk was cut off and he was left confused. "Umm...guys
what just happened?" he asked the others.
"Well, it looks like there was an explosion ont he station,"
Quatre said. "Maybe it's the terrorists."

The ground shook under Relena, knocking her off balance. "What was
that?" she said as she regained her footing and found herself in Heero's
arms. She blushed slightly and pulled away.
"An explosion from the feel of it. They must be setting off the
charges now," Frank said.
"Then we had better hurry," Relena said as she took off running for
the control room.

Sally Po sat at her desk and watched what was happening. 'What are
they doing that they must destroy a whole colony?' she thought as images
on the screen flickered.
She saw the colony and the explosion and then there was a report of
what had happened. "Relena, I hope you aren't there," she whispered.

"We can't do anything now," Noin said with a tone in her voice that
was close to despair.
"There's still hope," he said, emerging from the shadows to put
his arms around her.
"Oh Zecas, what will we do?" she pleaded.
"Heero won't let anything happen to Relena. I'm sure of that," he
said as he looked down at her and hoped that he was right.

"Here it is," Frank said as they reached the end of the hall.
"Now
we have to get in and stop the transfering of the weapons."
"What are you tlaking about?" Heero said as they stood in front of
the door.
"The man that controls travel and most of the business has been
using the colony as a port for weapons and selling them to people," Relena
said as she looked at him.
"When did you find this out?" he asked.
"A few days ago. I got some information from an informant at the
colony. It seems that the peace cover was just a cover and nothing else.
So when he came to the conference yesterday morning, I went with him to
help uncover the operation," she said as she glanced over at Frank. He was
typing on the side computer.
"Why didn't you tell anyone about this?" he asked a little mad at
the fact that she had taken on all of this by herself.
"Because it was my problem not yours. I had to take care of it,"
she said.
"Got it," Frank said as the doors opened and he stepped inside.
The others followed. Frank sat down and began typing again. The
screen before him full of codes and random data.
"I have a question to ask you Heero. Who was it that hired you?"
Relena asked as she faced him.
"Zecas," he said in a cold voice.
Relena looked at him and smiled slightly.

"They will stop the operation you know," a voice came from the
dark.
"Yes I know. Relena would never let the colony be destroied. But I'm
only after her. I will break her," he said smiling in the screen.
"Would you like for me to put plan two into motion?" the voice asked
again.
"Yes," he said as the screen flickered with images of Relena.

"Noin?" Dorothy's voice came from the door.
"Yes," she said as Zecas slipped into the shadows again.
"We just got word from Ms. Relena and Heero. They have the colony
under control. There isn't a threat anymore," she said through the door.
"Okay, I'll be right out. Thanks Dorothy," Noin said as she glanced
behind her.
"See I told you nothing would happen," he replied.

I want to thank Lady Scarlet-Une for telling me that my story does not suck.
lol. Anyways, the next part will be the end of part one and I'm not yet
sure if it will start part two. (Is that confusing?) I hope you liked it
and please email me with your opinions, what you think about my story, and
flames. :P And I'm hoping that it will be done soon, but I'm at a little
writer's block and with school starting back, it might be longer. Gomen
