Chapter 4
by Yuki-hime :P
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena heard the gun go off. But she wasn't thinking about that.
Heero cared for her. That was the only thing on her mind at the moment, and
then reality hit her hard. She felt the piercing of metal into her body
and screamed at the pain she was feeling. 'Well, Relena, you did provoke
him,' she thought to herself. She smiled slightly at the thought of getting
someone to shoot her. Especially when they were using her as the bargainning
chip.
Then it all dawned on her. No matter how pissed Prof. Jay got, he
hadn't fately wounded her. 'Damn,' she thought. 'Now he'll get what he
wants.' She looked at where the bullett pierced her skin, the left shoulder.
She was bleeding pretty badly, 'Maybe if the I lose enough blood,' she
let that thought trail off. What was she thinking. Sitting in a chair with
a man trying to destroy the peace that they finally had and she was thinking
of ways to die! She winced in pain and looked up at the screen.
"Relena," Heero's voice said.
'He looks sad,' she thought. "I'm okay. Professor here can't aim,"
she joked out, wincing in pain again. She heard her friends whisper her
name, and she smiled at them. "Don't worry. I'm fine. See," she
stated
trying to cheer them up. She could tell it wasn't working. "Heero, do me a
favor. Don't let him get his hands on the prints of C5."
"Shut up!" he yelled uncontrollably as he hit her again. "Just
shut up! If you had keep your big mouth shut in the first place then you
wouldn't be in this situation!" he tried hard not to let her get to him.
He knew that that was her intention and he failed at it. He snapped and
shot her, but at least he was of mind enough to shot were it wouldn't kill
her. That he was glad. 'But now I'll have the pilots to deal with unless I
can get them to hand the prints over.'
"Relena," Heero said as he stared at her.
"You want her back? Huh, Gungam pilot?" the prof. asked. He might
have a chance after all.
"I'll kill you," Heero said after a pause.
The professor laughed. 'Not after I get what I want.' "You may try.
I want the blue prints of Colony 5 in exchange for Relena here. I promise
I won't hurt her anymore," he said. "That's my final offer. I'll call
back
in one hour and then you can give me your anw---"
"It's yes," Heero said cutting the other off.
"No Heero!" Relena yelled out.
"Very well, we'll meet on the abandoned station outside of Saturn's
third moon in two days," the said before cutting off the link.
"No! I won't go! You can't make me leave!" Relena yelled at him.
"My dear it's a little too late for that," he said chuckling.
"I'll bite my tounge off," she threatened.
He motioned to the man on her left. "I'm sorry but you won't be able
to do that," he said as the man put a needle into her arm.
"No," she screamed but soom fell into a deep sleep.
"You can't cause in trouble if you are unconcious."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Heero do you think what you did what right?" Duo asked.
"Yes. Relena's life is important to the peace of this world," he
said as he stood and left. "I have to get the blue prints."
"What do you think Relena's reaction will be to this?" Hilde asked.
"It won't be good. She told Heero not to give him the blue prints,"
Wufei said.
"There has to be something about that colony that would want that
man to go after it," Trowa said.
"It's new. Relena approved the project last year," Dorothy said.
"Yeah but what is it?" Quatre questioned.
"It's a symbol of peace," a voice came from the door. Everyone
looked up to see Noin. "They are trying to start a war again. The colony
and Relena are symbols of peace and to get their mission done they have to
dispose of both. With one out of the way, the other will fall soon."
"Noin, how did you---" Sally Po began.
"Heero called for me yesterday," she replied. "Where is
he?"
"Control room," Wufei anwered. They watched her leave the room
before anyone spoke up.
"I wish we knew what was happening," Quatre said.
"We'll find out as soon as Heero decides to tell us," Wufei said.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Heero, when?" Noin asked as she stepped into the control room.
She saw he was typing fiercly on the keyboard. Hacking into the system
that held the information he needed.
"Few days," he replied never stopping to look. "He's in the
other
room."
"What?" she said a little off guard. "Okay, thanks Heero."
She
turned and walked to the ajoining door, turning the handle she stepped
inside and shut the dorr after her.
Heero stopped and looked at the door for a slipt second before
focusing all his attention on his current mission.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Relena stirred in her sleep.
"How long will the drugs keep her like this?" the man asked standing
in the doorway of her 'cell'.
"6 hours every injection," Professor Jay replied looking at the girl
sleeping.
"Are the blue prints secure?" he asked Prof. Jay.
"Yes, we will have them tomorrow," he replied.
"Good, keep her alive. Understand that I don't want Relena
Peacecraft killed," he ordered then turned and walked away.
"Yes sir," Jay gritted out. He hated that girl. She was the one that
caused his life to turn into the piece of shit it was now. 'I don't
understand why he wants to keep her alive,' he thought to himself. 'She's
been nothing but trouble.'
"Sir, we are ready to leave," a man commented at he stood behind
him.
"Good. Get the girl on the shuttle and be ready in five minutes."
"Yes sir," he replied stepping around the professor to get the girl.
'I will get rid of her,' he thought as he turned an headed toward
the awaiting shuttle.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero tucked the blue prints in the cockpit of his Gundam. 'I'm
coming Relena, hold on,' he thought. Turning he saw the others talking to
the girls. "We have to be leaving."
Quatre looked up. "Okay Heero, we'll be there in a second."
"What's he plan on doing?" Catherine asked. She stood beside Trowa
hugging his arm.
"Kill them all," Wufei said behind them. Sally Po was startled at
his reply.
"Wufei, we didn't need an answer," Sally Po bite out at him.
"She asked," he said as he started toward his Gundam.
"What's wrong with Wufei?" Dorothy asked.
"I don't know. I think it might be the mission. He might know
something but I'm not sure. I tried talking but that was near
immpossible."
"Bring back Relena safely," Hilde said to Duo.
"Yes, please. She can't die," Catherine replied.
"Don't worry I won't let them kill her," Duo said to Hilde. He
kissed he lightly and then followed Wufei's lead.
"Watch out for them both you guys," Noin said. "They'll do
something dangerous."
"We will," Trowa said. He gave Catherine a light kiss on the cheek
and then stepped away to prepare for the fight.
"Bye Dorothy," Quatre said.
"Wait Quatre," Noin said. "I want you to watch Heero and make
sure
he brings Relena back at once. She'll need medicial attention."
"I understand," he said and then departed.
Together the five Gundams left the station and started the long
flight toward the deserted station.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Move her there and keep her quiet. They should be here any minute.
I know Gundam pilots keep their word," he said.
"You won't get away with this!" Relena shouted at him. She had fully
recovered from the effects of the drugs that they had injected into her.
Maybe she could still convice Heero not to hand over the blue prints. Now
she understood why they wanted the new colony's layouts. She also knew
that they would eventually get rid of her, that was inevitable. She was in
the way, but she also knew that there was someone telling Professor Jay
what to do. 'Maybe, maybe that's why I'm not dead yet,' she thought. 'But
then why not kill me now instead of later?'
"Sit your ass down and be quiet. They'll be here soon and I know
for a fact that they _always_ keep their word," he snickered as he looked
at her.
"Not always. I'm here right now, aren't I?" she said sarcastically
staring at him.
"What are you blabbling about?" he said with little patience.
"Heero said he would kill me when we first meet. And I'm still here.
He didn't keep that promise," she said. 'I hope this works.'
"No this is more important. Relena you can't scare me," he said.
"Sir, the Gundams have just arrived."
"Good. Keep her quiet until I say so," he ordered. 'Less than
five minutes and I will have the weapon to destroy peace,' he thought
grinning.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero stepped out of Wing Zero with the documents under his arm.
"Follow me," a voice said as the dim lights flicked on.
"Heero?" Quatre asked as he stepped forward.
"Be on alert. We are on enemy territory. And follow me," he said as
he followed the man that was there to lead them to Relena.
The four pilots exchanged looks then followed Heero.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sir, I have brought the pilots to see you," the man that lead them
said.
"Thank you, Wong. You may go now," he said as he waved his hand.
"Sir."
"I'm Professor Jay," he said stepping into the light.
"Where's Relena?" Heero asked.
"Where's the blue prints?" Prof. Jay replied back.
"Here," he said as he pulled the prints out of the case.
"Bring her," he ordered.
Emerging from the shadows, Relena stood with a man beside her
holding her arm.
"Heero, why the hell did you bring those blue prints?!" she yelled
at him.
"Keep her quiet while I look at these," he stated as he approached
Heero. He looked over them, satisified by the product he held. "Let her
go."
The man released her arm, but she refused to move.
"Relena, get over here," Heero ordered.
"What's the point?" she replied. Looking up, he saw a broken spirit.
"It's all over now. I'd rather die then see the world at war again."
"Relena please," Quatre begged.
Professor Jay turned around smiling at her. "My dear, dear girl.
Count your stars that you aren't dead."
Suddenly Relena lunged at him. "I'll never let you destroy the
peace that I worked so hard to make!" she screamed at the top of her
lungs.
Heero jumped forward to grab Relena before she was able to get to
the man.
"Let go of me Heero!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. She was
thrashing her arms and legs trying to losen his grip on her.
He turned around and began walking away with the others looking
on.
"Relena, be quiet," he oredered. When he sat her down she stared at
him.
"Why Heero?" she said.
"Because I have to protect you at all costs Relena," he replied.
"We're leaving," he said and made a grab for her arm.
She quickly stepped back out of his grasp. "I'm not leaving with
those blue prints in that man's hands," she said definitely.
Heero stared at her. He noticed she had multiply brusies and cuts
all over her body. Glancing at her left shoulder he saw the wound wasn't
properly attended to. 'I'll kill him for shoting Relena,' Heero thought.
In one swift move, he threw Relena over his shoulder and started toward
Wing Zero.
"Heero Yuy put me down right now!" Relena screamed. She repeatly
hit his back with her fists. Her left arm jaring with every blow she threw.
She tried not to wince in pain but soon found it hard and then stop hitting
him all together. Trying to keep the pain to where no one could tell.
"Just relax Relena. If you keep tensing up, it will hurt more,"
Heero said as he set her down before Wing Zero.
"What are you talking about?" Relena said to him.
"Your shoulder."
"It doesn't hurt Heero. See," she said moving her shoulder. She
shut her eyes at the pain.
"You're a bad lier Relena," Heero said smiling. He swept her into
his arms and pulled her into the Gundam with him.
"Get ready. We're leaving," he shouted at the others.
"'Kay," Duo shouted back.
"How are they gonna both fit in that Gundam?" Duo asked with a grin
on his face. He looked at Wufei and Trowa.
"Give it up, Duo," Quatre said as he climbed in.
"I really don't want to know," Wufei replied stepping into his
Gundam.
"Let's just go," Trowa replied.
Heero pulled Relena to him. He could hear her wince in pain as he
leaned up to grab the controls and smelled her hair. "Relax Relena. It
won't
be long until we reach the station. Just sleep," he said as she leaned
against him.
"Heero," she sighed, "why did you give the blue prints
to..."
"Sshhh, just sleep," Heero whispered back. He felt her relax
against him and a few minutes later, he knew she was asleep by her
breathing.
He looked down at her and then concenrated on the flight.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Quatre, where's Relena?" Noin shouted as she stepped in the hanger.
He looked at Wing Zero. "They haven't come out yet," he replied.
She turned to see Duo snicker and then smiled. 'Relena, at least
you are safe.'
"Noin," Heero's voice called as he opened the cockpit to Wing Zero.
She looked up to see him carrying Relena. "She needs medicial attention
immdeiately."
When she saw the princess, she gasped. "What the hell did they do
to her?!"
Heero did answer but walked carrying Relena to the medicial ward.
'Hang on Relena.'
"Was that Heero and Relena?" Sally Po asked as she stepped into the
hanger.
"Yes, he's taking Relena to the ward," Quatre said as he finished
up what he was doing.
"Quatre?" Dorothy's voice sounded through the hallway.
"Here Dorothy," he called as he turned and started walking he way.
She came running and flew into his arms. "I was so worried," she
whispered.
He smiled at her. 'She's so different now,' he thought. "Why?" he
asked.
"There has been an accident," she replied.
Catherine and Hilde stepped from the hallway and looked at them.
"What kind of accident?" Quatre asked, fear rising in his voice and
eyes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heero carried Relena into the ward and laid her on the vaccant
table.
"Doctor?" Noin called as she entered the room behind Heero.
"Here," a male's voice replied. "Oh I see. Well, let's see the
damage."
"Will she be okay?" Heero asked standing beside Relena as he watched
the elderly doctor examine her.
"Yes, she should be. But I won't know for sure until I examine her
better," he replied. "I'm Doctor Fitz." He held his hand out.
Heero shook it. "Heero Yuy."
"Ahh, so you are Heero. Well, young man it's nice to meet you."
"Harld is the family doctor," Noin said as she smiled. "Heero, I
have to tell you something."
He looked at her. "What is it?"
"Let's go in here," she motioned to an ajoining room. "We have
some
bad news."
"What happened?" Heero asked.
"There was a terrorist attack on the moon. They stole some classified
weapons and... and they announced their organization. It's bad Heero. The
people want Relena to handle this and they don't know that she was the cause
of it. They aren't saying anything though about Relena being kidnapped."
"What's the organization?" Heero asked.
"Red Dragon. It's Operation 5," Relena's voice came from the doorway.
"Relena, how long have you been there?" Noin asked.
She stared at Heero. "I'll handle it," she replied and turned to
leave.
"Relena, how do you know that?" Heero asked.
She turned and looked him in the eyes. "I told you not to give them
the blue prints Heero. Congratulations, you've started another war," she
said then left.
"Relena," Noin said. "I've never..." she trailed off.
"Cold," Heero said.
Noin looked over. "Heero, you know it was the right thing to do. If
she had been killed then there would have been a war. With her here she can
prevent it."
He stared at Noin. "She needs treatment," he said before he left.
"Wait..." she started.
"No, Noin. Just let him go," a voice came from behind her.
She turned. "Are you sure?"
"Yes, they have to talk this out. Just have the doctor look at her."
