What size are your signatures? 500 x 105

What are your signatures exactly for? Well, they are a much simplier background you can use as display on your MAL anime and/or manga list in forums.

Why don't they have text? Same as above. These were specifically made to be used as a background and there is text that goes over it.

How do I use your signatures? First you have to sign in, then look to the user panel on the left. Click on My Panel, then Edit My Profile. On the top tabs, look for My Signature.

This is the page you use to edit your signature. It first shows you what your sig looks like, then an area where you input the coding for your sig ~ this is what posts your sig every time you comment on forums. Don't worry about this section yet.

The third section is what we want to work with now. You pick your 'Image Type' ~ what you want to display; latest anime, latest manga, or a mixture of both. Next is the width ~ all of my signatures are [ 500px ] in length.

Now you have six rows of numbers that serve as the codes for your colors. Each row is clearly labeled; 'Box', 'Background', 'Border', 'Text', 'MAL', & 'Link' and you insert the colors using the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) coding system. It is three sets of numbers - i.e. 205, 205, 205. I have included some links to sites where you can get color codes if you do not have an image editing program. I recommend Color Palette Generator because you can load the image you want to pull colors from and go from there. This way, you at least know the text, links, etc will not clash with the image. Just be sure to pick colors that you can READ. Feel free to play with it, you won't get the right color the first time.

The next is Hide MAL Ad; select 'Hide that ad!'. Then check the box and click browse. Now you find whichever background you want to use and open it then hit Update Signature.

Okay, so the very first section we passed was the Current Signature area. Now that it's updated, you should see the image you selected and your MAL list (granted the colors you pick worked out). Below that is the Signature Code. You need to copy this code. Click inside the box then hit Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C to copy all of the code.

Go back to the top tabs and click Forum Settings. In the second section you see it labeled Signature with an empty box. Click inside the box and hit Ctrl + V to paste the code you copied before. Then hit Update Signature. And voilà!

To center your signature use brackets instead of < - >; [center] code [/center]

The same is for [b] bold text [/b], [i] italics [/i], and [u] underline [/u].

If you want to add other images you use [img] the url [/img] and this for [url=the url] links [/url].

I want a more complicated one. Okay, so I finally got around to it. I'm so slow, I know but I have included a step-by-step tutorial that will hopefully help you.

First, all images are saved to my photobucket account. You can access the sliced images there. Sorry i just don't have the space on a geocities account to host them all here. But please don't go through the albums.

How many recent entries for anime/manga should be displayed?   4

----> ONLY put the number 4 (this is how many entries I have allowed for the signature)

-----> Check Make rows transparent

------> Header Text Color / Text Color / Time Color

Each section has it's own RGB (Red, Blue, Green) coding. My suggestions are included with the signatures, but there are sites you can go to to use your own. (See above)

-------> Check the Check to use a custom background and then upload the starred image. (Each banner has the image starred in the Photobucket account. *image name* You must save all the files to your computer then upload the starred image to MAL and other images to your own image hoster: photobucket.com or imageshack.us)

--------> Hit Update Signature

You must copy the code that is provided when you update the signature. This you will use later.

---------> Go to Forum Settings

----------> Now you input the rest of the images that complete the banner along with the coding you copied earlier.

It is important that images 2 and 4 NOT have spaces between them. The 3rd image is the coding that you copied and goes in between them. The BREAK HERE is only to let you know that you need to hit enter then continue the coding. DO NOT hit enter twice, or the coding will look funny.
