For the young archers looking to ready themselves for deer hunting with a bow and arrow. This just may be the class for you.
With two class dates available you can choose from a spring class witch opens on the first weekend of April of every year.
As well as a summer class witch opens the first weekend of August of every year.
Schedule of class and lessons are as follows.
First weekend..
Saturday the class will start at 4 pm and end about 7:30 to 8:00 PM with introduction time.
Primary lesson will be for bow set up, tuning, and introduction to understanding shooting form, and some simple shooting.
Sunday the class will start at 4 PM and end at 8 PM.
Primary lesson will be for fine-tuning the bow, form and control through out the shot, and ethical hunting talk.
Second weekend..
Two days of nothing but shooting and talking hunting. Full concentration shooting at distances of 10, 20, and 30 yards. Classes start at 4 PM and end when we are tired or darkness sets in.
You will continue to learn proper body position for perfect form. Also challenging body positions as a preparation to simulation practice in the coming lessons.
Examples are sitting, standing, kneeling, holding anchor then release, and quick release.
Third weekend..
Two days of simulation practice. Classes start at 4 PM and end when you are tired or darkness sets in.
Consisting of shooting targets from many different body positions and terrain changes. Continuing the perfect form and ethics talk while learning real hunting situations and shot possibilities.
Forth weekend..
Two days of learning deer sign and how to record into a logbook. Keeping a journal of all information collected for evaluation talk and hunt strategy planning. Classes start at 1 PM and end at 6 PM,
Fifth weekend..
Two days of dry run testing your hunt set up and note taking ability. You will actually be hunting with a notebook, camera and or video camera. This will give you the start of your season story and a week to fine tune before opening day. (If you take the August class)
