KBS FAMILY GRAND REUNION SET FOR 2009 This is truly going to be a once in a lifetime experience, if all goes according to plan. Former KBS employees from all over will hold a Grand Reunion on November 12, 13, 14 and 15 of 2009, thats a Friday, Saturday and a Sunday. But those are just the programmed activities, I would recommend for everyone to take advantage of this short event and spend personal time with former close friends and associates. All these will happen in Manila, so those of you who are residing somewhere else, check your calendars to make sure those dates are free. Let us all go on vacation from our daily grind and dedicate that week to enjoy the company of our KBS Family. EMAIL FROM KITCHIE Dear kbs comrades, Lets set it for nov 12, 13, 14 & 15, 2009. We can now say that we have a plan and can be further enhanced with suggestions from us folks. I do have one.... The KBS Coffee Table is a great idea and I would like to suggest that the cover be in the same concept as the Sergeant Pepper's Beatles album cover where we have our own KBS Fab Four surrounded by the many faces of the KBS folks. Who are the Fab Four? Oh well I already know of one who is definitely a shoo-in....ehem. I also think that we need a professional photographer/videographer for all our main events. This is one Kodak moment that is worth spending for. P.S. How about getting sponsorships from friends from the industry? We can all do our share on this don't you think? Iyon lang po for now. BTW, I tried to book a flight to Manila and saw the following prices; Jan-Apr ($680.00), May ($755.00), June-July ($1,278.00) Aug ($1,090.00), Sep-Oct ($755.00), first half of Nov ($680.00) and Dec ($1,028.00). These are all rough estimates based on an early purchase like you are buying it now. I am sure the rates will change as the cheaper fares get sold first. Warm regards on a cold morning. If you had the opportunity to work with KBS in any of its radio and TV stations during its existence as a broadcast management company as an employee or a contractual production talent, then you are one of us and you are definitely expected to attend the reunion. Needless to say, all of us are no longer with KBS for a variety of reasons, but mainly because KBS as we knew it is no longer there. Incidentally, there are some of us who are still working with former KBS stations that are now managed by private contractors. So, yes, in answer to Bingo�s query, Lourdes, the Psych is one of us, and so are many of those who are now running Broadcast City. I am sure we all look forward to seeing them again at the reunion. And on a related topic, if you are presently working with former KBS stations, but have never worked with the original KBS company, we consider you as �relatives� and are most welcome to join us in this gathering as our guests.
