Remember the Good Old Pasay Days?
Well, those were the days when we had to travel all the way to Roxas Boulevard (or was it Dewey Boulevard?) braving our way through the somewhat rough traffic from Cubao, to Makati to Pasay City, trying hard not to get caught in the tide that could lead us to a "biglang liko" intersection.  Those were also the days when we had this weekly newsletter called CUE SHEET produced almost regularly by Ray Pedroche and Flor de Jesus (mostly by Flor I think).  The days when you would come to work in the morning and see Frankie Abao in the studio in his shorts and slippers but wearing his standard grey business jacket with a wide lapel and monstrous tie doing the early edition of Newswatch.  November of 1971 was when Boy Gatus and Lerrie Cabreza were sent by the KBS management to the United States to learn all they could learn about VTR and stuff.  So they did, and on this page are some photos taken during that time.

By the way, all these photos were sent to us by our good friend Lerrie Cabreza.  Thank you Lerrie, you're a real tru-blu KBS guy.
And Off They Went!
That's, of course, Boy Gatus in the center and Lerrie on the right, but who's the lady on the left?
Lerrie and Boy took this picture to show Buddy Tan and Kitchie (also BYB) that they actually went there and learned all they could learn about VTRing.  Ampex7 by the way is a nudie bar in downtown LA, it was formerly called Amsex7.
However, this was actually where Boy and Lerrie did most of their learning.
It's funny, but I remember that velvety red and black striped shirt very well, it was probablyy one of his favorite shirts then.  Las Vegas sure looked so empty during those days.

I am not having fun yet!
On the left is a copy of CUE SHEET announcing the trip to Redwood City, California of Boy Gatus and Lerrie Cabreza.  It was dated September 25, 1971.
