| HOW TO ORGANIZE A NEW UMM FELLOWSHIP United Methodist Men 1) Develop a PURPOSE statement for your Fellowship, 2) Survey the congregation and work toward bringing every man into the new UMM unit, 3) Start with any number of men at your first meeting, 4) Study the qualifications and duties of Fellowship officers, 5) Elect officers and choose a date and a time of day to hold your regular meetings, 6) Prepare a Constitutison and By-Laws for the unit (see other pages of this web site), 7) Lay out a typical agenda to be used for the meetings (see another page of this web site), 8) Start holding regular meetings, 9) Consider "Chartering" your Fellowship with the national UMM head- quarters (see other pages of this web site), 10) When your Fellowship is chartered, arrange to have your pastor or the UMM District President present the charter to your unit. _________________________________________________________ Note: Additional information on this subject is given in a booklet entitled "How to Start and Sustain a Faith-Based Men's Group."
