Chartering your UMM Fellowship with the national UMM organization, the General Commission on United Methodist Men, is a way that each UMM Fellowship can support the mission work of the national organization. The chartering funds are used to publish the UMM magazine, President's Information packets, and for materials and aids for chartered units, introductory packets, maintenance of the GCUMM web site, and administrative costs including postage and telephone expenses.
If your UMM Fellowship hasn't already renewed your charter this year, please consider doing so in the near future.
You may renew your Fellowship charter by filling out a chartering form writing a check for the charter fee, and mailing both to theUMM General Commission (GCUMM). A charter form is given on another page of this web site.
Most Fellowships charter in December before the start of the next year or in the month of January. The annual fee is for chartering your Fellowship is $65 for the year 2005. This is a one time fee each year for the whole Fellowship. There are no extra charges for each member for chartering.
. Note: The charter fee for a first time charter is less than $65 if your unit charters later in the year after the month of March (see below).

Reduced Fee If Chartering Later in Year:
The fee for a new charter is $65 if you charter during the months of January, February, or March.
If you charter for the first time later in the year, the charter fee is:

Note: The above listed fees apply only during the year 2005. If you charter after the year 2005, check with the national UMM office for the fee applicable at that time.
After the first year that your Fellowship is chartered, the fee to renew your unit's charter will be $65 or more for the next year and each year thereafter. Check with the national headquarters to obtain the applicable fee.
