Pat's Note: My great great grandfather was Jefferson Davis Cook. According to his death certificate, his father was Newton Cook. While I did find a Jasper Newton Cook in the Jackson Purchase Area, I can't connect the two. So I decided to identify all the Jasper Cook and Newton Cook and who knows the Jasper Newton Cook families that I can find. Newton was born November 20, 1852, in Galena, Delaware Co., Ohio. We believe that his father was James Cook b. about 1824 in VA.
