Pasadena Senior Olympics - Entry Information
ELIGIBILITY
The California Senior Games Association ("CSGA") has determined
that any person age 50 years or older as of December 31,
2003 may participate in the Pasadena Senior Olympics ("PSO").
Proof of age may be required. The PSO is open to California
residents and non-residents.
AGE DIVISIONS
Age divisions for all individual/doubles events are in 5-year
groups for both men and women beginning at age 50 up to and
including 100+. The division you will compete in is determined
by your age as of December 31, 2003 except for Race Walk and
Track & Field where the division is your age as of the day
of the meet, June 14, 2003. Age divisions for team sports
(Basketball, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball) are 50+, 55+,
60+, 65+, 70+, and 75+. The age division for all doubles
events and team sports is determined by the age of the youngest
player as of December 31, 2003. The right is reserved to
combine age groups in any event due to insufficient entries
or other conditions. A full refund will be given in the case
of cancellation by the PSO.
ENTRY GUIDELINES
You may enter any sport or event subject to the entry limitations of that
sport.
Each partner in a doubles competition must submit an individual
Entry Application. Basketball, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball
players wishing to also participate in an individual sport must
complete their own Applications and remit the proper fees.
Team captains (Basketball, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball)
must submit a roster of players with the Entry Application.
AVOID CONFLICTS
Those planning to enter multiple sports or events should check
the competition schedule for possible conflicts. No event will
be delayed due to a conflicting schedule.
NOVICE DIVISIONS
You do not need to be an expert to participate in the Senior
Olympics. All activities are open to novices. Levels of competition
will vary from sport to sport.
FEES
There are 2 types of fees: Registration and Event fees. A $26
Registration Fee for each individual participant (except
Badminton, Fun Walk, Lawn Bowling, Rope Climb and Shuffleboard)
and each team covers the administrative costs of the Games
and includes a T-shirt, Official Program, Goody Bag, Results
Book, admission to the Closing Ceremonies Bar-B-Que, and much
more. Event fees for specific activities, which cover the actual
sport expenses, are listed on the Schedule of Events.
PAYMENT METHODS AND INFORMATION
Payment for Registration and Event Fees may be made in any of
the following ways: Cash, Money Order or Check made payable
to the Pasadena Senior Center, or Credit Card (Visa or Master
Card only). If paying by Credit Card, please be sure to include
your account number and expiration date. A returned check may
be grounds for cancellation of your entry.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Due to scheduling deadlines, entries must be postmarked by
Monday June 2, 2003 for events held through June 19 and by Monday
June 9 for events held through June 29. Late and on-site
entries (except Softball) will be accepted on a space
available basis if accompanied by a $10.00 late fee. Applications
are not considered complete until Fees have been paid and the
Liability Waiver has been signed and dated.
REFUNDS
Requests for refunds must be made in writing and postmarked
no later than June 2, 2003. Because of incurred costs as
of that date, no refunds for the Registration Fee will be granted
after June 2. Refunds for Event Fees will be given in emergency
circumstances only.

Upon
receipt of your Entry Application and fees, a Confirmation Packet
will be mailed to you and will include information regarding
