is a simple and natural process, but you may need support and
information on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast,
working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems, and overcoming
difficulties that may occur. Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies
can be helpful and reassuring.Having accurate, up-to-date information is also
important. Attending La Leche League Meetings can help you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings,
mothers share not only their questions and concerns, but also the
benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Being in touch with La
Leche League can give you the network of support you need.

do not have to start attending with any particular meeting, and
you are welcome to discuss questions that do not apply to that
meeting's topic. While our meetings stick to a four topic
series. No two meetings are the same, since as our babies grow,
we are confronted with different concerns within that topic.
Meetings are always
free, but tax
deductible memberships are available. Proceeds go to help
continue the work of the Pasadena group and La Leche League
International. Benefits of memberships include a year's
subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on all
