Sunsets on Torch Lake, of the most heavenly blue
I'm here with my sweetheart, our dream has come true.
We camped near for years when the kids were all young.
We'd end up at Torch before our vacation was done.
The swimming was great, though quite icy cold.
To jump in, in June you were incredibly bold.
I now wait until August when there's still just a chill.
But I love Torch lake water, I always will.
The children grew up and have families their own
And now the grandchildren so quickly have grown.
We gather at Torch every chance that we can.
And play till we're exhausted and sport toasty tans.
We play in the winter when often the lake freezes.
Hubby skis with his friends as often as he pleases.
When ice covers the lake you can still see the hue
Of the beautiful color, the turquoise blue.
And the colors of fall on our beautiful Torch Lake.
Are breathtakingly beautiful, what a picture it makes.
To look across the waves when the weather turns cold
You see leaves on the trees, in red, oranges and gold.
And spring at Torch Lake when the trees start to bloom.
We look forward to flowers and gardens to groom.
We watch for the cherries from blossom to harvest.
We really don't know which season we love best.
A day viewing Torch Lake from our lofty windows.
The water so clear, when the sun hits it glows.
But when evening comes and the sun starts to set.
Thats when we love Torch Lake the very best.
We thank God each day for our sunsets on Torch.
We wait and watch from our chairs on the porch.
Each day the sight is more beautiful than before.
We can't think of anything we could want any more.

I took the picture of Torch Lake with my Sony Mavica. It was a beautiful evening, a beautiful sunset, one of many.
