John M. Partin, son of Hannah King and William Partin, was born 27 February 1830 in Tennessee; probably Coffee or Grundy County. He came to Nacogdoches County, Texas sometime around 1851 with his brother Thomas F. Partin. John served in the Confederate State Army in Co.H., 4th Regt. Texas Cavalry.
On 7 July 1852 in Nacogdoches County, Texas [Vol. B, Page 101; by C. C. Thomas] John married Lucinda "Lucy" W. Lilly, daughter of Lucinda Power and John Lilly.
Lucy was born 9 April 1838 in Alabama and she died 4 January 1913 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

3. William H. "Bill" Partin, born May 15, 1860 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and married Annie Mosley on 22 January 1891 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Bill died 27 August 1947 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in Fairview Cemetery. Anna I Mosley was born March 26, 1868 in Florida and died 11 May 1908 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and was buried in Old North Church Cemetery with her parents as she requested. She was the daughter of Sarah Frances Glassoc and Robert Mosley of Alabama.
4. Lucy E. Partin, born ca. 1863 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and married John Edward Parmley on November 2, 1880 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Lucy Died before 1900 in Nacogdoches County, Texas; It is not known where she is buried. John Edward Parmley was born 26 July 1855 in Texas and died 8 March 1928; buried Rock Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas. See Section on Parmley.
5. Richard Partin, born March 22, 1869 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and married Nancy S. "Loma" Stone in ca. 1886. Richard Partin died 19 September 1946 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Loma Partin was born 13 January 1878 in Texas and died 4 January 1964 and is also buried in Fairview Cemetery; she was the daughter of Elizabeth Scroggins and Joe Stone.

William H. "Bill" Partin, son of Lucinda "Lucy" Lilly and John M. Partin, was born 15 May 1860 in Nacogdoches County, Texas, and died 27 August 1947 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Bill married 22 January 1891 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Miss Annie I. Mosley, daughter of Sarah Frances Glassoc and Robert Mosley of Alabama.
Annie was born 26 March 1868 in Florida and died 11 May 1908 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. She was buried in the Old North Church Cemetery with her parents as she requested.

Lucy E. Partin, daughter of Lucinda "Lucy" W. Lilly and John M. Partin, was born ca. 1863 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. She died sometime before 1900 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is believed to have been buried in either Rock Springs Cemetery or Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Lucy married on 2 November 1880 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to John Edward Parmley, son of Margaret House and Edward M. Parmley, who was born 26 July 1855 in Texas and died 8 March 1928 and is buried in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas beside his second wife Ida Beulah Gibson, who was born 8 May 1871 and died 17 July 1961. He and Ida were married 28 April 1887 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Richard Partin, son of Lucinda "Lucy" W. Lilly and John M. Partin, was born 22 March 1869 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He died 19 September 1946 and is buried in the Family Plot in the Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
He married about 1886 (no certificate in Nacogdoches County, Texas) to Miss Nancy S. "Loma" Stone, daughter of Elizabeth Scroggins and Joe Stone. She was born 13 January 1878 in Texas and died 4 January 1964 in Nacogdoches County, Texas (Death Certificate #11730 in Austin, Texas). Loma is buried in the Family Plot in the Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Jeannie Mary Partin; her brother Robert Mosley "Bob" Partin, said in and interview with him in the Summer of 1992 that her name was actually Mary Jeannie Partin; daughter of Annie I. Mosley and William H. "Bill: Partin, was born ___ April 1893 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and died in 1947. It is not know where she was buried.
She married Elisha J. Tindall, son of Mary Emma Partin (Supposed to have been her Aunt) and James Leonard Tindall. Elisha was born 14 April 1881.

Robert Mosley "Bob" Partin, son of Annie I. Mosley and William H. "Bill" Partin, was born in 1905 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He married 1st Lillian Collins, daughter of Mollie Parmaley and R. L. Collins. She was born 17 November 1905 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and died 31 January 1956 and is buried in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery Park in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Bob died in 1999 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Bob remarried to Miss Hazel________.

MRS. HAZEL PARTIN TO RETIRE AS SENTINEL CARRIER AFTER 22 YEARS
After 22 years of loyal service, Hazel Partin will retire as carrier of The Daily Sentinel on ___ 1.
Mrs. Partin has delivered the paper to 1,150 subscribers for the past six years has had the assistance of her husband, a retired dairyman. In 22 years, Mrs. Partin declares, "I've driven I don't know haw many times around the world, and I don't know how many care we've worn out."
She has enjoyed her work. "It's like I've made a lot of friends," she said, "and I wouldn't have met so many wonderful people if I'd just been a housewife."
Mrs. Partin is slowing down her activities on doctor's orders, and is retiring to regain her health. An auto accident two years ago left her with lingering complications that demand rest. She remarked that while she was in the hospital following the accident, friends overwhelmed her with cards and flowers. "You meet so many people in this type of work. I met a lot of college professors on my route, and they, the people who hardly knew me were so sweet to me. I was never so surprised!"
After she has regained her health, Mrs. Partin plans to visit many friends locally, especially those who are shut in; and would like to travel.
The Partins, whose address is Route 5, live on a farm where Mr. Partin raises 70 head of stock cattle and grows vegetables. "I let him do all that," smiles Mrs. Partin, "because I don't know on caw from another--but I'm one of those fanatics who grows flowers. I guess I grow most everything out there."
Mrs. Partin currently employes on boy, Carl Stewart, for the town delivery route. Her daughter-in-law, Fairy Partin, also has a route, and her granddaughter, Joan, is helping Mrs. Partin this summer. Willie and Fairy Partin have two other children, Bob, 14, and Charles 12. Joan will be a senior at Nacogdoches High School in the fall.
Mrs. Partin has been very active in the past. She is a member of the First Methodist Church, the church's Friendship Fellowship Bible Class, the Wesleyan Service Guild. She is also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Charles "C.P." Partin, son of Fairy and Willie Partin, was born 21 March 1960 in Nacogdoches, Nacogdoches County, Texas. He attended Nacogdoches High School, and he was never married. He burned to death in a trailer fire on 5 March 1989 in Plum Ridge Subdivision near Zavalla, Van Zandt County Texas. He was buried in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. His obituary in The Daily Sentinel reads:
CHARLES PARTIN
Funeral for Charles (C.P.) Partin, 28, of Route 5, Box 4000, will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
Officiating will be Rev. M. A. Ervin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Partin died Sunday, March 5, 1989, in Plum Ridge Subdivision, near Zavalla.
Born March 21, 1960 in Nacogdoches, he was a welder with McGraw Edison and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Partin; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bob M. Partin; brother Bob Partin; and sister Mrs. Joan Keiffer; all of Nacogdoches.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ross, Joey Ross, Tim Hessman, Brent Boyd, Tom Parker, Eli Montes, Doug Loop, and Perry Skeeters.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors will be in charge of arrangements.
