Marvin Lee Partin, son of Lucinda E. Anderson and Cornelius Albert Partin, was born 7 November 1923 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
He died 10 October 1992 in Nacogdoches, Texas and is buried in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.
Marvin married 7 November 1923 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Miss Lillie Mae Vanover.

MARVIN LEE PARTIN
Funeral for Marvin Lee Partin. 88 of Lufkin will be at 2 p.m. today in Central Church of Christ in Lufkin. The Rev. Howard White, minister of Central Church of Christ, will officiate.
Internment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.
Partin died Saturday, October 10, 1992 in Memorial Medical Center of Lufkin.
Born March 27, 1904 in Red Oak in Nacogdoches County, he was the son of Cornelius Albert Partin and Lucendy Emilie Anderson. He was a retires self-employed carpenter and rental proprietor. He was an active member of the Central Church of Christ.
He was raised in the Nat Community and attended Nat School. Partin lived in Beaumont for many years; where he worked for the Magnolia Refinery and played saxophone and cornet in the Magnolia Band.
Partin also sold Watkins Products for many years and he was an elder at the Westside Church of Christ in Beaumont before he moved back to Lufkin in 1959.
After retirement, he volunteered at the Texas Forestry Museum of Lufkin.
On November 7, 1923 he and Lillie Mae Vanover were married, and she survives him.
Also surviving are daughters, Gladys Ellis of Lubbock and Joann Conger of Lufkin; brothers Floyd Partin of Jasper, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Godfrey Ellis, Joseph Ellis, Dwight Partin, Ray Partin, Duane Shaw, Lee Shaw, Raymond Trimble and Verdell Morris.
Music will be under the direction of Central Church of Christ.
The family request that memorials be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund, 711 N. Second, Lufkin, Texas, 75901.
Laird Funeral Home will direct arrangements.

Born February 27, 1902 in Nacogdoches County, he was the son of Cornelius Albert and Lucinda Emiline Anderson Partin. He was a retired insulator and a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Augusta Bradshaw Partin, of Nacogdoches; two sons, Leslie Ray Partin of Houston and Charles L. Campbell of Pasadena; to daughter Patsy Ann Barcheers and Cecelia Ann Hendrix of Houston; three brothers, John Partin of Wimberly, Marvin Partin of Lufkin, and Floyd Partin of Jasper; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
