He was a merchant in Nacogdoches County, Texas in 1870-1900. And, he served in the Confederate State Army; Co. H., 4th Regt. Texas Cavalry. He enlisted January of 1865 and served until June of 1865. George filed Pension Application # 13457.
On that application dated 1907, he indicated that he had resided in the county for 55 years. He is not located in the 1850 or 1860 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas, but is located in the 1870 and 1900 Census of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

On 30 August 1866 in Nacogdoches County, Texas, he married Mrs. Mary M. Wade Coats, widow of Charles Coats. Mary was born ___ October 1845 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Mary filed Confederate Pension application # 18184 on the service of her husband, George W. Partin.
Mary's Mother, Lusettie A. Wilburn, daughter of Elizabeth and Daniel Wilburn, was born in October 1820 in Arkansas or Missouri, and died sometime after 1900. Nathan Wade, Father of Mary, was born 10 May 1810 in Tennessee and died 16 February 1896 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
George died 29 April 1909 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. Mary died 10 February 1922 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and is also buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Marcelite (Morselet) Partin, daughter of Mary M. Wade Coats and George Washington Partin, was born 8 June 1871 (1869?) in Nacogdoches County, Texas, and died 4 November 1947. She is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She married in 1890 to Robert "Bob" Jordan, who was born October 1868 in Virginia.
