Trigonomic Functions

y=(x) is your regular function.
y=-(x) is the x-axis reflection, all functions apply.
y=(-x) is the y-axis reflection, all apply except sec & cos.
y=a(x) ia an amplitude change.
y=(bx) is a period change.
y=a(bx) is an amplitude/period change.
y=(x+c) is a phase shift (x-axis).
y=(x)+d is a slide of the y-axis.
y=a(bx+c)=d is the basic function formula.

Four steps to helping yourselves out.
1) Amplitude change... (Old Amp.)x(|a|)
2) Period change...... (Old period)/b
3) Key pts............ (New period)x{1/4,1/2,3/4,1} or {1/2,1}
4) Phase shift........ (-c)/b then add to answers to #3

Try these problems:
2 csc(2+3)
cos(3+4)-8
