Pony Riders
Clive is repairing the heel of his boot. Jack is complaining about the noise he's making.
Marie comes in to see what all the noise is.
"How about a reading lesson Jack?"
"Whatsay we take a walk Marie, somewhere's quiet like?"
"You Americans must be crazy to entrust something as
important as the mail to a bunch of wild cowboys."
"Comprende?"
Jack & Clive talk with Grey Wolf.
Jack gives his word that no more riders will disturb the Blackfoot buriel ground.
Lewis sends out his newest rider; Bruno Danzinger.
Bruno is hit by an arrow as he rides through the sacred land.
"Grey Wolf, give us the boy, the man who
Lewis gets away.
Pony Riders continued...
"Too bad yer little Queenie don't pay ya enough ta buy news boots there Clive."
Clive protests as they leave the office together.....their is a commotion on the street.
The rider is dead...killed by an arrow. Jack recognizes it as belonging to Grey Wolf's tribe.
They inspect the body at Marie's and determine that the man is a Pony Express rider.
Wendell MacWherter rushes out onto the street
with the exciting news, "The Pony Express
route will run through Bordertown."
Bruno listens to Adam Lewis' recruiting pitch...
$100 a month is alot of money!
Mr. Lewis asks the lawmen for their help with the
Blackfoot...Craddock tells him not to send out any riders
until they have spoken with Grey Wolf.
Meanwhile:
When Craddock and Bennett return to town
Otto holds Jack responsible if anything happens
to his brother.
Jack confronts Lewis and tells hin that
the Pony Express office is shut down!
The lawmen go to Bruno's rescue...Meanwhile, Otto attacks Lewis who is trying to leave town..
Grey Wolf says if they promise no more riders will
disturb their buriel ground, he will release the boy.
(Grey Wolf is played by another great Canadian actor...Buffalo Child)
Craddock tells Grey Wolf he can't make any promises.
"Then he will die!" The braves push Jack and Clive away from Bruno.
Lewis sneaks up and grabs Grey Wolf from behind ....
The marshal  fires and Lewis falls dead to the ground.
