| The Heart of Adventure |
| Bennett and Craddock were not in this episode much. |
| Bennett and Craddock are out of town so Dom has been deputized. |
| While doing his rounds he tells the ladies at the store that they |
| safe under his watchful eye. Sally & Marie have a chuckle. |
| While cleaning windows Sally thinks she sees her favorite author |
| (Luke Mercier) walk past. She yells after him but he dissappears. |
| In fact Mercier is in town. He is riding with an outlaw gang, so he can write about his adventure. |
| He's not so sure he wants to rob a bank. |
| "Cover yer face idiot!" |
| They rob the bank and as they make their getaway, they are spotted by Dom who fires on them. |
| One of the ombres shoots back and wounds his own man (Casey) instead. |
| Marie asks Sally to go to her house and bring her medical bag back to the store. |
| As they ride out of town they see Sally and assume she is the doctor..and kidnap her. |
| Dom is hit on the head and knocked out. |
| The ombres split up. Mercier is with the wounded Casey, who gets him to hide the money in a tree. |
| Then casey shoots at Mercier who looses his grip and falls. Moments later Casey falls dead. |
| Upon returning to Bordertown, Jack & Clive are briefed by Dom, who insists on being a part of |
| Sally's rescue. |
| They find Casey's body, but Mercier's unconcious body has been taken by the remaining ombres. |
| Thinking Sally is the doctor, they order her to make him better, so he can tell where the money is. |
| They find Casey's horse grazing and decide to wait for it to |
| finish so they can follow it to the hideout. |
| Jack has a snooze while he waits. |
| Sally and Mercier plan to escape. She spikes the |
| coffee with a sedative she found in Marie's bag. |
| Luke tells Sally he is not a criminal, he is doing research. |
| Jack, Clive and Dom find Sally & Luke being chased by the ombres. Dom punches Luke who |
| has his arm around Sally, trying to protect her. |
| Mercier explains to the lawmen that he was just researching his next book. He looks at Jack and |
| says, "You know marshal, you and the corporal have a unique situation, how would you like me |
| to write a book about the two of you?" |
| "Doubt there'd be much interest." |
| Before Mercier leaves town he kisses Sally on the cheek. |
| She is quite flustered, Dom is jealous. "You know Sally, I don't think you should kiss ANY man |
| that strikes your fancy!" |
| "Does that include you Dom?" and she kisses him. |
