Gold & Lead
Marshal Craddock throws a live chicken into Corporal Bennett's quarters, then runs around
the building and into the detachment, sitting at his desk before Clive comes in accusing him
of the crime.
(Jack) "You think I did that?"
(Clive) "Who else in this whole country
could be stupid enough? Childish enough?
You're going to pay! When you least expect it!"
(Jack) " Maybe it was some Canadian wanted ta drink in the street like us Americans, er some
Canadian woman wants ya ta get rid of that red jacket."
Meanwhile:
A gold shipment is being brought into town by Wendell McWerter and an armed guard. Some -
where outside of town they are robbed by 2 hombres. The guard is killed, Wendell is wounded, and
the first hombre shoots the second hombre dead. (are you still with me)? Bruno and his girl,
Norma Dell Timmins, stumble onto the scene and rush Wendell back to the doc.
Marie comments: "It's like looking for a beetle in a haystack".
Craddock & Bennett can't agree on who the
dead man is. All of the wanted posters look the same.
The lawmen question saloon girl, Mabel Nestor (a.k.a. me), about some of the bad hombres she
knows. Mabel discribes one hombre that Wendell recognizes,
turns out it's Leif Timmins, Norma Dell's estranged pa.
Meanwhile back at the farm:
Bruno and the Timmins women are being held hostage by "Pa".
Jack : "You go 'round back and I'll kick in the front door."
Clive: "Easy Stonewall, this is Canada, we'll do things my way."
Craddock and Bennett win the shoot out with Timmins
Clive: "Sit down Jack, I've got something I need to talk to you about."
Norma Dell and her Ma leave town in disgrace.
Everyone says good bye.
"I love you Bruno."
(Clive has gotten even by putting 3 eggs on Jack's chair).
"Never under-estimate the memory of a mountie!"
