Compadres
Bandits hold up the stage, but there is no money on board and no passengers to rob. They tie
up the driver and the lookout (leaving them behind), then they take the stage into town to pick up
unsuspecting  passengers.
After six weeks of driving cattle, the drovers are whooping it up.
Meanwhile, back in town:
Jack breaks up a fight...
The sign reads: NO GUNS BEYOND THIS POINT
Clive suggests that Jack should take away the cowboys guns while they're in town.
"Their money'll be gone in a couple 'a days, so will
they.... 'sides, I'd have better luck takin' their wives!"
Wendell McWerter, worried about the safety of the bank's money, decides to take the stage
to Helena to deposit it there. He insists that
"There will be trouble Jack, if you don't take control."
"Now look here Clive, it's as quiet as a church social,
'sides us Americans gotta right ta carry a gun."
"Just make sure they stay on YOUR side Jack."
(Suddenly they see two ombres heading into the bank).
(Marie comes into the office wondering why the stage coach didn't leave her medical supplies)
"Come ta think of it Clive, they didn't get fresh horses neither."
Compadres continued...
Then he notices Clive putting up a sign.
"Hold this for me Jack."
"What's it say?" the marshal asks.
"It says, NO WEAPONS IN CANADA."
(Jack disagrees)
Clive walks away and Jack tries to read the sign....
"No weapons in...., no weapons..."
Puzzled by the fact that there is an extra word on the sign,
Jack shrugs his shoulders and walks away.
Zac is also concerned..he's made $20,000 off the drovers and plans to deposit his money in
Helena to pay off the mortage on the saloon.
corporal Bennett escort him to the stage coach.
The stage leaves Bordertown driven by the two outlaws...an uneasy MacWherter watches Zac
as he eats his lunch...pickled eggs...neither of them suspect they are about to be robbed.
Clive continues to insist that Jack take action against
the unruley drovers.
Jack sneaks in the back door while Clive covers the front. Jack is furious with the 'would be'
robbers...."I got two whole months wages in this bank."
The mountie explains to him that Wendell has taken
Later...
the money to Helena, "Where it will be safe."
