New millenium started with new hopes.
Had a great time on 1st Jan, 2000 at Royal Calcutta Turf Club . Tips given by Telegraph helped a lot in winning some of the stakes ( or was it beginner's luck?) , returned with some modest gain. The lunch spread was excellent , both in quality & varities.

The evening was more interesting . We had a great ganjam at Apu's place. A reunion of old pals after a long time . Kanad- Krishna , Bimalendu- Lekha , Amitava- Jayashree, Chandan- Preeti , Debesh - ( my memory is failing , a bad thing!) , ourselves & host Subir- Chaitali.
Kanad took some picture with his digital camera & has been very prompt in sending the pictures thru email ( keep it up Kanad).

An exciting day of Golf on 13th Jan. for playing centenary cup. First 9 holes I was going with great gun with two pars but 2nd 9holes sloely told me that I need to generate more stamina , though I could manage a par at 12th hole , adifficult one.

16th Jan was office picnic , Shibani couldnot accompany me because of Saaqi's Test.
Had a great day by making 400 bucks in gambling , the first time  I could win a fair amount in Flash, hope the good luck continues.
