On May 27, 1999, Mike, myself and our best friend Erik trekked into Manhattan at 2am to line up to see Jimmy Buffett perform live on NBC's The Today Show (the Summer Concert Series). The show wasn't supposed to start until 8:30am, but we wanted to make sure that we were right up close to Jimmy! We made some really wonderful friends with some of the other Parrotheads, PLUS we got to see Jimmy and the Coral Reefers' dress rehearsal at 6am. Right before they went on stage, they came around and signed autographs for us! It was the coolest experience of our lives and we would do it again in a second!
