The victim was a customer of J&P Pizza. She went into the store got her pizzas and as she was leaving a gentleman open the door for her. She walks to her car and attempts to find her keys and get in her car. At this point a man comes up to her yanks her purse from her and starts running away. While this is happening Rafeal just happens to be taking empty boxes to the dumpster. Ironically Rafeal thought to himself that since it was such a nice day out that for once in his life he would take to long to take boxes out. It is at this time that he is standing outside the hut enjoying the fresh air and hears a lady screaming. All of the sudden Rafeal sees a man running towards him with 2 men chasing after him yelling "get him!" Rafeal is a pretty fast person and use to play soccer for 12 years. Thinking to himself hey I'm faster than that guy he starts runngin after him. A Pizza hut customer decides to join in on the pursuit and as soon as they both catch up to the mugger the mugger gives up by throwing Rafeal the purse. This was enough to sidetrack Rafeal and the customer, but not the other two men. One man decided to drive the wrong way up Rt. 140 to get to him while the other guy ran after the mugger.
When the two men caught the guy the mugger said it wasn't him that did it, but it was his brother. Yeah Right. The mugger also had a pace maker for his heart that started to malfunction so they had to get an ambulance for him. Rafeal then went back to work later clocked out and told the police his statement. About 3 weeks later The assistant manager Brad sent a letter to the V.P Karen Horsy about what had happened. Karen Horsy later came into the Pizza Hut to present him with the Customer Maniac pin and took his picture for the Pizza Hut newslatter.
