OCTOBER 2003- Well Rafeal was fired and as we know some people like to go out with a bang. I don't know if you would call this a bang, but rafeal was certainly deemed a legend at this Hut. Rafeal was an extreamly good cook and busted his ass everyday. He also had a lot of knowledge about the store. At Pizza Hut the more you know the more you grow. Meaning if you pass one of the 4 Pizza Hut tests you get a 10 or 20 cent raise. Well in March of 2003 Pizza Hut recieved a new GM, Karen. She was alot more strict than the two previous managers A.J. and Brain. Rafeal took a test to recieve a 20 cent raise taking him from $6.70 per hour to $6.90 per hour. However Karen did not send the test into Pizza hut until May. Rafeal was going to Ocean City for the summer and so he wanted a raise for when he came back. Rafeal comes back after the summer and after the third paycheck he went crazy. He still did not recieve his raise. Not only that, Karen sent in new paperwork when Rafeal came back from the summer so he would recieve his raise. But he did not. Rafeal also went into work on a day he was not scheduled and on that day Andry gave him his paycheck. When Rafeal saw he did not receive his raise he exploded and decided to write a letter to Pizza Hut which would be the reason for his demise. The letter stated:
This is fucking bullshit,
I have waited for 7 fucking months and still have not recieved my measly 20 cents. Fuch that. Karen you need to bitch someone out or give me a number to bitch some one out because this is bull shit. I'm going to fucking kill pizza Hut. If I don't receive my raise by next paycheck I'm putting my 2 weeks in.
it seems that i have misplaced my copy of the letter and that is all I can remember so when I find a copy I will finish the letter portion of this story.
Then Rafeal finished off the night. He didn't come in again until Thursday where one of the waitresses said to him you know you're fired right? which he replied No.
It has been rumored that Rafeal is getting rehired sometime soon. we'll see.
