Petie had the sweetest disposition and was very loveable. my kids loved her and she was a very spoiled baby... I loved the way she used to sing for me every morning and how she would chirp wildly when I got home. I loved how at 8 pm she would chirp to let me know it was her bedtime... she gave me lots of kisses and loved to cuddle in my neck.... when Petie was eight months old she became extremely ill. the vet said there was nothing he could do for her she was just feathers and bones. I rushed her to a friend of mine that owns a pet store and for a month he gave her medication and hand fed her and nursed her back to health for the next month I continued to care for her and in no time at all she was back to her old self.. after a while we decided to get Petie a play mate. I was afraid she was lonely while I was out. so in March of 2000 we got Elmo. since Petie was a male we decided to get another male so we would not have babies... well in Nov of 2002 we got a very big shock. Petie was laying eggs. so we now knew we had a male and a female Ughhhh.. on Dec 4 Peties 1st egg hatched and on Dec 8th her 2nd egg hatched... . over the months Petie kept laying more and more eggs. I tried to stop her because I knew it was not healthy but no matter what I did she continued to lay.... Petie and Elmo was extremely close. one could not go anywhere without the other they would squawk and chirp until they were together again... January 31, 2004 my world was torn apart. my little Petie went to the rainbow Bridge. She was only 4 1/2 years old.. she will be forever in my heart and Petie I will never forget you..... Dena
