We are a private, in-home rescue that started basically to offer a place for death sentenced dogs to find a second chance at finding a home. Purebreed rescues are wonderful and do a great deal of work but there are very few rescues that will accept mixed breeds, we decided we needed to do something because there is no reason that a wonderful adoptable dog should be euthanized just because it is a mixed breed. If you are looking for a particular mix PLEASE contact us. We will find you whatever you are looking for and either transport it or have it transported to you. We do our best to place the dogs based on the needs of the dogs and we keep operating costs low by doing everything out of our home. We strive to place dogs quickly and believe the best matches are made only after the foster home has gotten to know the pet!!
We do require an adoption application and there will be an adoption contract before placement.
We do require a meeting with the dog to ensure that the dog and all the family members - including other dogs - get along with each other before placement. We ask for a vet reference, and a home visit. We require that all of our dogs be house dogs. All animals adopted from us are spayed or neutered to help prevent further animal overpopulation - so please don't ask us for a breeding animal. If the placement does not work out, we require that the dog be returned to our program. Paroled Pets strife to maintain good working relationship with all shelters.
