Round 1
Williams and FUK champion rise to the top once more
Round 1 saw Pete Emery doing the decent thing, by staying away to allow everyone else to shuffle about and sort out problems so that next time round he can get in the way in a more acceptable fashion. Having said that round 1 was not without its hiccups, with Doggy Styles having what can only be described as one of his dropped rounds early on in the series. Others left preparation of their TT01's til the very last moment, namely between round 4 and the final, and not even i have left things that late before. (I am normally done by 5am Sunday morning)

On the plus side, Missing link won his final by a massive half a lap, although it was not without sacrifice, as he custom painted tallbloke shell looks more like Cliff painted it as well as drove it, and its due to last 5 more meetings!!!!! Ummmm????

The FUK champion was on fine form all day until the final when he was piped by late starter Mark Williams. A minor setback for the 2004/5 champion but i am sure this is all part of the plan to at least make things interesting as he minces his way to the title. The plan to make round 2 interesting is that his mechanic is not travelling north due to snow fears at such a cold time of year, electing instead to sit at home with an open fire and a TRF415 manual, whilst counting out the twenties from the winter fuel payment. You have to feel sorry for the old chap really.

The shortest final of the weekend went to Forum Fodder, who's motor bushes resemble that of one of Andy's ex-girlfriends arseholes. Reports that i have heard back from ladies young and very old alike, are that even with the regular use of the bic disposable, there is still plenty of friction. No wonder he ballraces his stock motors. Enough said i think!!!!

Well done to Barry. Having only just realised that the ban on beef on the bone had been lifted after the BCE crisis, Barry has come back with his all time favourite, The 'T' Bone. However i think he needs to borrow a couple of cotton buds for round 2, what was actually said was the TT01 rarely breaks, as it seems that Barry's car rarely brakes!!!!

Other than that, it was pretty much business as usual. Sorry there are no pictures from round 1, i will sort some for next time. As yet still no results as i am waiting for Fabbers, but then he has been running a 12th National this weekend (11th/12th) so some time this week i hope??

Paul 'Doesn't get mentioned on here much' Collins also did ok.
