Charlotte Elbourne Have you seen Bloodlust yet? If not, you are definitely missing out! This is the best anime move I have ever seen, the animation is 100% magnificent, not to mention the plotline and costumes, which are defintely wonderful as well! Get it! You know you want to ^_^ Anyway, I was introduced to Bloodlust by Josh, aka Parn in previous pictures. He was spazzin about it one day and, just like I'm doing to you, pretty much demanding that I go see it cause it was soooo awesome ^_^ So, I did! and....It was soooo awesome! I watched it like 4-5 times in the first few weeks I had it...^_^ Then! I heard that good ol' Branden, my personal Costume God, was thinking about doing a whole Bloodlust group for AnimeCentral 2003...so we talked about which characters I could be, and among Lauren, Ashley, and me, we got Charlotte, Caroline (green plant girl) and Carmilla (Evil Countess Chick). Well, I decided I'd really like to be Charlotte, cause her costume is pretty, and I like her character. So I begged Branden to be Charlotte, and he gave the ok! Yay! Now...I love her dress, I really do, but I could soooo totally not pull something off like that! I haven't got the mad skills to do anything really nice yet, so I'm just doing the cloak on this one...and besides, Branden (what a great guy!) is making, like, all the costumes pretty much by himself, to ensure a consistency in the design and quality, and to make them look as best as ever...so thats cool, he's got the mad skills, and I'm sure everything will turn out just amazing! Sweeeeet! Check it out! The finished dress!!! *commences starry-eyed fangirl worshipping* is it not gorgeous?!! And thats just on a dressform, not a person, and he says it looks much better in person! Oooh, I am soooooo psyched! I want it now so I can try it on and dance around in it! *lol* Aah, the trials of waiting!!! ~*~UPDATE!~*~ AnimeCentral has come and gone, and wow was it a blast! Branden made all but two of the Bloodlust group's costumes (Caroline and Leila) and they were just amazing. Just amazing! Being a part of this project was definitely quite the experience, all of us just had so much fun in these costumes, and I wish we could all get together and do it again! We entered in the masquerade at Acen, but there was a mix-up of whether we pre-regged or not, (which we did) and then the masq was full and they werent taking any more entrants, (a bunch of which dropped out before actual masq-time) but we managed to get in, phew! We were the last entrant, performed our skit, and it all went so very smoothly! It was hard getting the whole cast of Bloodlust into a skit less than 2 minutes, but our script-writer Lauren did the best she could ^^;; Afterwards, we all grouped together for pictures, but we were causing a clog-up in the hallway so we moved to the back of the lobby and posed for pics there. We were there for over an hour getting pictures taken, trying different poses, and generally hanging out ^^ Then the fire alarm went off and we all had to go outside...raaaawr. But anyways, again, Branden is my hero, his costumes were amazing, and he's such an awesome person. ^_^ Here are some pics from the Bloodlust group and my Charlotte costume, enjoy!
