Mutsuki Asahina

I first saw Haunted Junction at AnimeIowa 2001, and just the last few episodes, but it was just so funny I had to buy the whole series first time I saw it! Lauren was hooked as well, and she wanted to make an Asahina costume. The basics for this are just a white kimono and red hakama, so it wasn't too hard: she made the white kimono, and then I made the hakama riiiiight before I left for college, so I didn't get the huge bow in front like we wanted, but the basics are down!

1.A week or so before I left for college

Lauren gave me the red fabric she bought, and I set to work! I made the pleated skirt as per directions, and I didn't sew the pleats backwards this time! Made the slits in the sides, folded over the top, cut up the middle, hemmed the bottoms and rushed them over to Lauren's! I didn't have time to make the band to go through the top, but thats realy easy so I gave her her scraps back and she's making that part!

So I guess there wasn't much of a table for this one, was there? But thats what I did, and as soon as we get pics of Asahina, I'll post them up!
