Besides being essential to the world as decomposers, fungi play a very important role in history as well as in our daily lives.

Your assignment is to research your fungus group to find out how it plays a role in daily life as well as how it has changed the course of history. You should also include general information about your fungus, such as its structure, habitat, reproduction method, and other interesting relatives. Include at least three examples of your fungus group, three contributions to daily human life from your fungus group, three important historical events or facts, and any other interesting tidbits you learn.

Create an interesting, attractive, fun and exciting brochure that discusses the information you find about your fungus. This is an individual project. We will spend two days in the lab (February 3 and 8) working on your brochure. You will turn in a color brochure at the end of class on February 8. Color pages cost $.25 per page.
