| My wife Chris and I now have seven
grandchildren. Grandkids seem to be more enjoyable than our offspring because our
perspective on life has changed by the time we reach this age. Old age can have its
benefits. What surprised me most at our 30th reunion was all the talk about plans and desires to retire. Retirement doesn’t seem like a lot of fun to me since I like my job so much. Maybe it’s the staying busy that I like, too. We built a new home and moved in just before Halloween of 2000. We found a house design that was all on one level and kept stairs to a minimum. That way, when we’re old (like next year) and fall down and can’t get up, at least we won’t fall down the steps. I hope everyone is healthy and enjoying life. |
