My wife had Lasix surgery [Friday] and it was a bad day to be gone. The surgery went great, but now she knows what I look like. [barump-bump]

My grandchildren are all honor students in Florida, following my lead [barump-bump] — two boys and a girl. Daughter one is launching an acting career by working in a local theatre group and is also doing stand-up comedy in the local comedy club, in addition to raising three kids. I usually have to go down and visit every year after Christmas to make sure they are not too hot. [barump-bump]

Daughter two manages D’Amatos restaurant in Ann Arbor. She is deciding, however, that restaurant hours and a social life do not work well together. I expect a career change shortly. My son is working at MACI (Michigan Air Compressor Inc.), a Japanese plant that started up about 10 years ago. He works on the production line so that we can all have air conditioning in our Japanese cars [barump-bump] — they also do work for the Big Three. Being the youngest, wedding plans are expected in the near future.

My wife is a nurse practitioner at the Jackson County Health Department. She is considering retirement soon, as the county has enhanced their retirement plan. She is not sure at this point, but don’t give me her opportunity ... [barump-bump] I am still manager of HR and Quality for this company with a history of its own. I started here working for Tomkins-Johnson, which was then bought out by Aeroquip, which was then bought out by Vickers, and is now owned by Eaton -- all in the same building. I received my MBA from Spring Arbor College in 2000.

We have a new dog in the household who has pretty much replaced the kids who have left. Seems to take about as much time as they did and argues all the time as this picture describes. Also went to England last year to visit my wife’s cousins and stopped in Paris for awhile.
