"A Message from the Pastor"
As the song goes, "I’m so glad I'm part of the Family of God", and that is so true for our family here at Park Place Christian Church! It is wonderful to have a community to share the joys as well as the disappointments. We come together to learn about God and to discover ways in which we can serve the Risen Lord.
One of my favorite quotes is “God doesn’t call the qualified, God qualifies the called!” If this is true, then we can move forward with assurance that even though we may not feel we can or know how to do a certain ministry, God will supply us with whatever it is we need to get the job done. That is what makes Park Place the Place to Be. We will venture forward with this assurance and we will dare to be disciples.
This year the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) celebrates its 200th anniversary of the great revival at Cane Ridge. This is the year we can remember the boldness with which the Spirit of God spoke to early Christians. May this be the year we at Park Place speak boldly to our future. We celebrate Unity and Diversity, so may we go forward to celebrate God at work in each of us.
We are part of the family of God where there is always room for more. Come and be part of this family of God. May God bless you all!
