Parklands Sports & Social Club formally known as the I.C.I. / DuPont Sports & Social club was built in the early 60s. Our club occupies a prime spot situated on 25 acres of open space and beautiful woodland which once was the home of Wheatley Hall now sadly demolished.
The Club runs many sports and social sections, these can be found at the top of each page.
If you enjoy Dancing why not come along to our Ballroom Dancing on Sunday and Monday evenings or Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. If Ballroom Dancing isn't your thing then why not try our line dancing on Thursday evenings.
If you enjoy jive then our monthly Rock'n Roll nights with dancing to live bands could be just what you are looking for.
Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversary's
Having a party then why not book one of our excellent Function Rooms. We will provide you with a buffet to suit your individual needs at very competetive rates.
Our Clubhouse is fortunate in having one of the finest maple floor ballrooms in Yorkshire, this as well as our other rooms can be hired at very reasonable rates :
1. Ballroom - capacity 350
�70.00 non members or organisations.
Free to members for their own personal / immediate family use.
Free to parties etc with 250 or more attending.
2. Large upstairs function room (with bar)- capacity 80
�30.00 non members or organisations.
Free to members for their own personal / immediate family use.
3. Small upstairs function room (with bar) - capacity 40
�20.00 non-members or organisations.
Free to members for their own personal / immediate family use.
Rooms 2 & 3 can be used together with a total capacity of 130

�90.00 - �110 for functions in the ballroom.
�80.00 - �100 for functions in the upstairs room.
Registered Charities
Ballroom hire for fund raising functions - �35.00
Hire of rooms for meetings only - half price.
Use of full club & facilities (excluding members lounge)

Sports Pitches (subject to availability)
