Rules
Section A. Pool Rules and Regulations
The following regulations are for the protection and benefit of
all members and guests. These rules have been established to assure safe and
sanitary facilities. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe
all rules and obey instructions of the pool manager, the assistant, and guards
on duty.
Rules on Use of Facilities
1. All members and guests must register at the office; children 7 and
under must be accompanied by a responsible party.
2. Members shall yearly complete the membership ID form at the beginning of the
season. Emergency contact information shall be entered on this form. The
information from the form shall be located at the pool office.
3. Food, candy, and chewing gum are prohibited on the lower deck. Glass
containers are not allowed on the premises.
4. Persons with infectious diseases or open sores are prohibited from using the
pool or bathhouse facilities.
5. Running, horseplay, or other activities that might be injurious to others
will not be permitted.
6. Pets are not allowed within the pool enclosure.
7. There will be a rest period of 15 minutes every hour as directed by the
manager. During this period only adults and children younger than eighteen (18)
months with their parents will be allowed to swim.
8. Profanity is strictly prohibited.
9. Only children six (6) years of age and under and accompanied by an adult are
to be in the wading pool. There will be no lifeguard supervision at the wading
pool; therefore, parents are responsible for the safety of their children in
this pool.
10. Swimmers must be capable of swimming the width of the pool before entering
the deep water, and may be asked by the manager or the guards to so perform.
(This applies mostly to young children who appear to lack swimming proficiency.)
11. Only one person at a time is permitted on each diving board and on each
ladder. Only one bounce is allowed for diving or jumping.
12. Non-member spectators will not be allowed in the pool area, except as
permitted by the manager or assistant manager
13. The manager or assistant manager is authorized to initiate temporary
policies or rules at any time when, in his or her opinion, such action is
appropriate. All such special rulings will be posted and reported to the Board
of Directors.
14.. The Corporation will not be responsible for loss of or damage to personal
property.
15.. All use of the facilities is at the risk of the user. Swim Club, Inc., will
not be responsible for any accident or injury in connection with such use.
16. State law requires all persons using the pool to shower before using the
pool.
17. Lawn furniture may not be reserved or saved.
18. Bathing suits must be worn; no cutoffs or gym shorts allowed.
19. All children not potty-trained shall wear a swim diaper or plastic pants. No
cloth or disposable diapers will be allowed in the pool.
20. Hanging on the ropes or diving boards is not permitted.
21. One lane may be provided for swimming lengths only.
22. One long whistle blast at any time means to clear the pool immediately.
23. Personal conversations with the guards are not permitted when they are on
duty in the chair.
24. Smoking is permitted on the upper deck only.
25. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the pool premises except at adult
functions and on adult nights. Strict enforcement of the legal age for
consumption of alcoholic beverages will be the rule at all social functions.
Rules on Water Toys
26. Super Soakers (large squirt guns) on Fridays only.
27. Rafts, balls, swim fins and masks will be allowed only during uncrowded
periods at the discretion of the manager,
28. No floating devices (balls, rafts, etc.) are allowed in the diving area.
Section B. Rules for Guests
1. All guests must be registered at the pool office upon entry and must be
accompanied by a member. Members cannot register guests until the guests are at
the pool. Members are responsible at all times for the actions of their guests.
The same guest may be brought up to 4 times a month.
2. Fees: These fees allow the guest to use both the pool and the tennis courts.
a. Daily rates
1. $4.00 per day per person. $3.00 for guests arriving after 4:00 p.m.
2. $3.00 per day per child under 5 years old; $2.00 after 4:00 p.m.
3. $10.00 per day per family
b. Weekly rates: (non-Allen County residents only)
1. $10.00 per week per person (7 days)
2. $20.00 per week per family (7 days)
c. Babysitters:
1. If a member’s job requires a sitter during the pool season, the sitter will
have access to the pool only while responsible for the member’s children. This
will be provided under the family membership and the sitter’s name must be
recorded at the pool office. The sitter will be required to sign in.
2. If a member is babysitting for a child, the member may purchase a babysitting
pass for the child. Cost $20.00 per 10 visits.
Section C. Tennis Court Rules
1. Use of the courts is restricted to members and guests only.
2. Courts can be reserved by calling the pool office up to one week in advance.
3. Playing time will begin on the hour and is limited to one hour per member.
Players more than ten (10) minutes late forfeit their reservation.
4. Courts must be vacated on the hour if people are waiting to use the courts.
5. Tennis shoes only will be permitted on the courts. No sandals or bare feet
will be allowed.
6. Adults will have preference for the use of the courts after 5:00 p.m. on
weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
Section D. Grounds and Property Rules
1. Members shall drive slowly and carefully on the driveway and parking
areas.
2. All bicycles shall be placed in the area provided for this purpose and not in
the automobile parking area.
3. The cost of any property damage will be charged to the responsible person(s).
Section E. Miscellaneous Information
1. Tuesday night is designated as teen night. Child must be entering the 6th
grade to attend. Hours are 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
2. Some Friday nights may be designated as Adult Nights, dates to be announced.
Hours 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; minimum age 18.
3. Some Friday nights may be designated as Family Nights, dates and hours to be
announced. All children under 18 must have at least one parent present at all
times. No guests are allowed.
4. Special parties will be planned and announced during the summer.
Announcements will be placed on the bulletin board and announced over the PA
system.
5. Private parties can be booked for after-pool hours through the pool manager.
The Park Forest Pool Reservation Application, available in the office, shall be
completed along with a non-refundable fee of $65.00, which covers the first
hour. See the application for details.
6. Members can reserve the gazebo for $25.00 for parties up to two hours during
pool hours. Make arrangements through the pool manager. Host will pay the $25.00
fee; guest fees reduced to $2.00/person.
7. Every night from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. is adult swim time. Swimmers must be at
least 18 years old or a high-school graduate to participate. Children may remain
on the upper deck only when accompanied by an adult who is on the premises.
8. The pool will close at the first sighting of lightning and remain closed
until thirty (30) minutes after the last sighting of lightning. Also, the pool
will close when the temperature drops to 65 degrees or below.
