The Official Reception
The official reception took place at The Galleon Restaurant in Oamaru.
Each table had its own place name...
As the reception Master of Ceremonies, Shaun Donovan introduced the speeches...
...(above, from top left) Best Man, Stephen Burnett dredging up some embarrassing material from Daniel's past as a two-year-old, Father of the Groom Alan Parkes frightening everybody with and without the mask and Father of the Bride, Kikuo Yamasaki shocking everyone with the announcement that Itsuka already has a fiance.... him!....although thankfully the love note had been accidentally lost over the last fifteen years....
During Daniel's speech there was a surprise phone call direct from Long Island, New York. The caller was the famous "Uncle Junk" (a.k.a. Jim Barry) the unintentional matchmaker who brought the couple together. He gave a wonderful short speech that was also heard by those in attendance.

Even though few were hungry after the three-course meal, it was time for the cutting of the cake!
