PALMERSTON NORTH
North Island, New Zealand

Our small flat in rainy Palmerston North (the one in the middle of the photo).
We attended our friends Richard and Georgie's wedding -where we played the music for the ceremony.
In August we were able to take a short trip around the lower and middle part of the north island, starting in Wellingston (left) and travelling to Rotorua -Itsuka on the luge (right).
While in Rotorua we experienced some Maori culture...
... and also the thermal activity -including a wonderful 'mud bath'!
On the east coast we visited Gisborne, famous as the location where Captain Cook first spotted New Zealand (Itsuka imitating Young Nick pointing to land) and also spent some time in sunny Napier -and a wine tour at Mission Estate.
